    • How many Cuffers were present and accounted for at the Marriott Center? How was the crowd? Loud? I wish I could have been there.

She looks at the TV and asks if this was one of those new 3D sports broadcasts (my mom is in her late 60s). The picture was blurry. In fact, it was so lousy, I could barely read the score box in the bottom right corner. And forget about knowing how much time was left on the clock. It all looked like a big blur.

Also, not sure about you locals, but here in OC we had a few patchy moments of total blackout on the screen. Also, at another point in the game, the screen didn't black out, but all they were showing was a large Deseret Duel graphic while you could hear the game in the background.

The MTN needs some serious work.
Not that it will make a difference at all but I did send a nice little email to the Mtn. after the game letting them know how embarrassed they should be for what a couple thousand of us had to watch.

I don't follow the Utes, so my very uninformed scouting scorecard would look like this:

            Stud: Watkins
            Dud: Drca, Tavita

Henderson, despite his wayward fists of fury, hit a really clutch 3 (from distance, btw) when Utah was making that run. If he can learn to channel his inner chi, buy a few Oxy pads, and also lose the shoegazer haircut, he will have a nice career for the Utes.
Tavita may have ZERO offensive game, but our offense had some semblance of a plan when he was running the point.

This is actually what I'm talking about. I think Emery probably fell down more from surprise than force. You watched it over and over on your DVR - it wasn't exactly a hay maker.

apparently he was a scorer in highschool.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I just watched it about 10 times to see if JL was right and I was wrong. He took the punch and his head moved right after he was hit but I really don't think he hit the floor because of the force of the punch. I agree with you Falafel.

Every D-1 player was probably a scorer in high school.

It was not the force that knocked him down it was the surprise. It looked mostly like Henderson tried to poke him or slice him with a fingernail. The kid made a mistake in the heat of the moment. I thought everyone else reacted pretty well to the dumbass move. I trully enjoy pretending to be magnaminous! Is that even a word?

I agree with you. Wrubbell said it was a wild scene for a while and some other stuff. Maybe that is why neither you or I are the voice of the Cougars.

I actually would have no problem believing that tooblue's iPad is better than Miles.
Why all the hate for Miles? He's the best post defender we've had at BYU in a couple of decades, he has good shot selection and can pass out of the post. This team doesn't need him to play a lot of offense. I think he's doing just fine.
