Very strange, in a crazy uncle kind of way.

I feel for him. He just had his punk player hit another player during a rivalry game.

Per Henderson, this will define him now, kind of like how John Edwards' love child defines him, or Tiger's mistresses define him; or how pulling hair defines that New Mexico women's soccer player. Sportcenter covered two plays from the game; Jimmer's crazy drive to the basket for two and a mention of his 36 points, and Hendersons's punk cheap shot. The rest of America has seen his immaturity now. No matter how good he might become, this cheap shot will aways be there to greet him. Youtube can be a cruel master.

I feel for Boylen. Coach's kids can be very pampered and undoing all that is a big job. Henderson came with his own reputation. Small wonder the Texas, SEC, and Big 12 schools let him escape.
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Good point, I bet you that all ten of the non-MWC fans who are paying attention to our league were scandalized.

Yup, this will follow Henderson forever. And BYU will never let him live it down.

It is interesting that all the local schools passed on him given he had some nice offers to play elsewhere.

I loved it when he was going crazy at the end of the game. He must have been screaming at them to foul Miles. Whoever it was that ended up fouling him is thinking "coach what the hell am I supposed to do he's out on the perimeter in the middle of nowhere without the ball, if i foul him I'll get an intentional foul" Boylen continues to go completely crazy on the sideline so the Ute player decides to put him out of his misery and goes to hug Miles, getting the intentional foul. Great stuff.

That's the sad thing. They don't pay that much attention, but when they do, some Utah punk is taking a cheap shot. People are sitting there wondering happened at Utah. "Didn't they used to make some noise in basketball? How sad they've become a bunch of punk cheap shot artists."

What's even more sad is that Henderson is from Texas, sullying the name of a very good state.

LOL. Henderson didn't teach any lesson at all to anyone, except how to lose a game and make an ass out of yourself.

                • Anyone posted Miles kicking Bogut yet? Maybe this shouldn't make me laugh, but it does.

It went ridiculously high. It must have been close to the rafters. I've never seen a ball fly that high. I don't think a ball could be thrown that high.

                      • Some nice highlights at the end. Haws drive and left handed layup was nasty. And Davies up and under around Foster was sweet.

He looked like he was making apolgies to Rose, the BYU players on the court and Holmoe. His post game comments were very straightforward. No excuses. No spin. Very classy.

                          Several things about this video...
                          • How in the world does a cell phone video on youtube have 10x the resolution my TV had while watching the MTN last night?
                          • I don't see the mysterious gray suit guy escalating things. I will admit I thought he was with the Utah staff the way he was around their bench.
                          • I change my mind. I know nothing about the guy, but grey suit, the hairdo of the guy from the Single's Ward movie, and white tennis shoes makes me take Boylen's side...no matter how crazy he is.
                          • Did Tavita get in Henderson's face immediately after he cheaply suplexed Elder Emory off top turnbuckle?
                          • Most of the videographers commentary was stupid, but I do like the Marshmellow taunts. I hope this sticks for the next 3 years.

Yes it is 5 months late, but the way you are sticking up for LaGarrette Blount is so great. It is a different tact than I took the night of the game, or the next day, when I said you don't throw cheap shots regardless and he should be suspended. But you guys had the factor of time and realize that taunting has no place in sports, before you defended LGB last night. Much love.

When SU comes around and says there is never a reason to punch in sports, please hold strong and say when you are being taunted there is!

Except that Edwards and Woods are both grown men while Henderson is still just a kid. Of course, it's a rivalry and nothing has a statute of limitations. Hence the Miles and Arujo references.

                            • I really think it's ridiculous when college students are refered to as kids.

I also think the Henderson incident isn't a big deal. Some guys are extra competetive and lose their heads sometimes.

I call them kids because I'm old enough to be their father.
