UTEPs coach was complaining about the officials after the BYU game. Saying he thought the head official was trying to stick it to his team. Because this is the same official that officiated UTEPs earlier game against Texas Tech and was publically belittled in the media by UTEPs coach after the game.

UTEP shot 10 more free throws than BYU and the foul count was 21 for UTEP and 28 for BYU with a ton of questionable ones going against the Cougars down the stretch.

We breathed on their big men and got a foul for a while there.

How many "and one's" are we going to give up? It seems we've given up 5-6 over the last couple games.

I'm not hypersensitive about officiating, but it was absolutely putrid in the UTEP game. Both sides suffered, but BYU got the worst of it.

Barbie or whatever his name is must be smoking something nice because he's crazy if he thinks the officiating was slanted towards the Cougars. I thought the first half was called really tight but pretty even. The second half though was all UTEP. All of BYU was in foul trouble.

I agree that it was bad on both sides. The net effect was a positive for UTEP because they were generally going to the rim more often.

I need to go back and watch, but I thought that UTEP got the ball on consecutive jump ball situations in the first half. Was I cruising through the DVR too fast or did anyone else notice the same thing?

I didn't catch it if it happened. Speaking of which, is there a more stupid rule in college hoops than the possession arrow? They should jump. I also think they should get to advance the ball with a TO.

I saw that. Snapped their 64-game CUSA winning streak.
