I've watched every televised game this year. The team we have now is not the team that played in Logan. Emery has it going; Haws is learning every game and has ice water in his veins, and Fredette will kill you. I am concerned about the bigs still. Miles is only serviceable, but Hartsock is improving nicely. Davies has so much potential; I like what I am seeing. Abouo, Morgan and Loyd need to step up their games; they will be needed in conference. I see us beating Arizona (we should be up for that game) and UTEP (hell, they just lost to NMSU of all teams) but I don't see us winning in Vegas; that joint has our number.

      I agree with this.

Haws, Fredette, and Emery are amazing. They are so much fun to watch. Emery has quickly turned into one of my favorite players ever. He plays tough defense and can shoot the lights out of a building. Miles is what he is. But I don't cringe as much anymore when the ball goes into him at the post. However, when Lloyd and Morgan come in I get nervous. I thought Abouo would have been further along. Hartsock and Davies are coming along well IMO. I used to be a JT defender but good hell his game is gone. It's sad to watch really. I am holding out for this help that he turns it on when we need it most, like in Las Vegas or the first round.

Props to Rose and staff. He's a hell of a coach.

I'm not concerned about our bigs at all. The strength of this team is the guard play, but we haven't had this kind of depth on the front line for a long time. I'd rather be able to put Miles and Hartsock or Davies and Hartsock on the floor at the same time, than a Plaisted or Arajuo alone.

Miles isn't a great scorer, but he's a solid defender and rebounder, takes good shots, shoots a high percentage, and passes well out of the post. And Hartsock is even better. He's always around the ball, is a good shooter, has good hands, blocks shots, and is our first big man in a long time that can consistently hit a 15 foot jump shot. Then there's Davies. After he learns to play defense, he will be the best of the bunch. We haven't been this solid in the middle in a long time.

This team is good and going to be good.
