Cougs up 37-5 on Neb in the first half.
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

The last 7 minutes of the first half were horrible. I don't get how quickly this offense can sputter. And sheesh, we couldn't defend anything without fouling.

Jimmer picking up his third foul didn't help.

              Still, very Jeckle and Hyde.

How many times are we going to foul them shooting three pointers? That is three times tonight already.

Nice win for the Cougs. Very impressive!

Nebraska was holding teams to 55 points a game and we scored 88. Not bad.

This team is very good. They are now 12-1 and finish up preseason play at Arizona on Monday. Jimmer and Emery are unbelievable so far this year, Davies and Haws are two very good freshman and everyone else is understanding their role.

The MWC is tough with UNM, SDSU and UNLV will be fun to watch the conference race.

I'm excited about this team. Tavernari has been terrible and now it's clear that this team doesn't need him so no big deal.

The game at UTEP will be tough on January 9 and will be a good test -- UTEP is 7-2 with a road win against Oklahoma.

I'm pretty sure nobody in the conference can beat BYU in the MC.

We have Arizona and UTEP left. Since both are on the road, they are going to be very stiff tests and if BYU comes out 2-0 against these teams, it might officially be time to get excited. We also have UNLV sandwiched in between those games. What a difficult stretch that is.

I agree. I want to see this team weather a real test before I get too excited. That loss to Utah State weighs pretty heavy in how I look at this team.

Losing in The Spectrum is like losing as a visitor in the MC. I think it doesn't bode well in that we played out of sorts in the closing minutes but we were without Emery, who at the time was carrying a struggling Jimmer in the backcourt, and it was relatively early in the year. Now Jimmer is in much more of a rhythm and Tav is less of a necessity and distraction with improved play in the front court. We still don't have the size necessary to make a big run but I like our chances to repeat as conf champs and maybe get a win in the tournament this year. (A result of a higher seed and not necessarily a much better team)

Unfortunately, USU isn't very good so far this year. Yeah, it's tough to win in the Spectrum, but Saint Mary's went in there right after we did and punked the Ags. Yes, St. Mary's is a good team, but we are supposed to be a good team too, so that loss stings.
