I was referring to Santos's comment about playing the bench. I'm not suggesting he's better, but he is younger and will be around for a while (RS Soph, right?). For that reason, and because Miles is a pretty known commodity, I'd like to see him get time--especially in games that don't matter.

When people talk about core players on the team, he is never mentioned. He could be a nice bonus.

I think it's either/or this year for Anderson and Davies, not both. Miles is going to start. Harstock is going to have a role. There's not room for both Anderson and Davies. I thought maybe Davies was playing in the exhibition game just for experience, but based on what you hear from Rose and what happens in practice, it sounds like Davies is going to play right away. If so, Anderson doesn't have much of a role.

Wow, I was expecting Davies to redshirt. I'm not sure he's that much better than Anderson right now, though clearly he will be.

I'm just enjoying how fans can get so giddy about a player after 15 to 20 minutes of action. As for me, I will remain guardedly optimistic.

I agree. I like that Davies is athletic, but he hasn't shown yet that he can finish. What concerns me is that for someone his size, he seems to play below the rim. He could blossom into a great player, but from what I've seen so far he still has a lot of work to do.
