Let's make a friendly wager. Which school will make it the furthest this year, BYU, Utah, or Syracuse? It is going to be a rough year for SU, as they have lost alot of talent the last 2 years, but I see them making it past the 1st round of the Big Dance. When was the last time BYU could say that?

Wesley Johnson went off against Cal and UNC. Ah, it feels so right to love the Orange.

Wesley Johnson is a star. It was fun watching he and Evan Turner in that tournament - probably the two best wings in the country. It's fun watching wing players who crash the boards and play both ends of the floor.

Ultimately, while Turner is the better all-around player, Johnson's NBA potential may be better simply because he is an elite athlete and has better range.

The Orange were definitely clicking this week.

It's amazing when you treat a game like a regular season game and play like it counts, rather than a preseason game where nothing is riding on it and your player rotation is set accordingly.

And Wesley Johnson continues to impress. He was huge in the second half last night against a scrappy Florida team.

Arinze Onuaku is one of those quite type players. He gets his and you will hardly remember him being in the game. I have a love/hate relationship with Rautins. The kid can flat out light it up. He also has never seen a shot that he doesn't like. I said it in another thread, the Orange would be a Final Four team last year and possibly more if Johnson was cleared to play on that team. He is unreal. He reminds me of a young Ray Allen. He is a threat from deep and is an out of this world athlete. I hope we enjoy the ride this year because he is playing like a lottery pick all season.

Syracuse loses to Louisville at home.

They're not a creampuff (RPI of 48, SOS of 9), but they're still 15-9 and a bubble team.

A bubble team that is hitting their stride. The only two losses are at home. Hopefully SU can use this as a wake up call to prep for the tourney
