If Biden wins this payback is going to be a bitch!

        • When I read earlier on this board that Trump is becoming unhinged, I never thought it was meant literally. But two recent events make me very concerned: 1. Donald Trump Jr wanting to hold a family intervention because Trump and his tweets are just plain crazy lately, and 2. Trump actually preparing for losing the election with his claims that Obama, Hillary, etc have corrupted the voting process. Both things I never thought were possible a few months ago.

Republican’s already tried the “just say no” strategy during Obama’s presidency. Why don’t they try something new... like actually putting forth meaningful legislation instead. Just a thought.

When was the last time either party has put forth "meaningful legislation?" The ACA vote maybe? And that one cost the Dems the House because they refused to work with the few moderate GOP members they could have. As long as emphasis is on the presidency and governing by executive order, there won't be any further meaningful legislation by Congress.

              • Carrollton Mayoral Candidate Zul Mirza Mohamed Arrested, Charged With 100+ Counts Of Voter Fraud

A mayoral candidate in Carrollton has been arrested and charged with voter fraud.

Denton County Sheriffs have Zul Mirza Mohamed in custody and have charged him with 109 felonies related to voter fraud.

The investigation began September 23 when Sheriff’s were notified by the Denton County Elections Office of possible fraudulent activity related to absentee ballot applications.

Officials say absentee ballots had been requested to be sent to a PO Box in Lewisville, that was supposed to belong to a nursing home facility. When investigators made contact with the Carrollton residents whose ballots had been requested they learned that none of the residents had asked for ballots be mailed to the PO Box.

Further investigation revealed the PO Box had been obtained with a fictitious Texas driver license and a fictitious University of North Texas student ID.

There's nothing to see here... move along. Voter fraud doesn't exit especially with mail-in ballots.

                • Trump’s gone insane. He won’t address the stimulus, though the best way to get votes is to give them money. He won’t debate, even though he needs every opportunity to expose Biden’s purported senility. It’s Gotterdammerung. Hitler in the bunker. I’m starting to agree with democrats worrying about what will happen between November 4 and Inauguration Day.

The debate format has been changed and it’s scheduled to be remote because of his reprehensible conduct in the first debate and he let himself get Covid.

Wait, I thought voter ID prevented fraud.

You mean people can make fake ids and do fraudulent stuff anyways? I never would have guess it considering that kids use fake ID all the time to get into bars.

                    • Harris created #FakeHistory...

Kamala Harris’s Dishonesty on Abe Lincoln

It was impossible to miss how Kamala Harris, like Joe Biden, refused to answer questions about their plans to expand the Supreme Court. But she also misrepresented history.

Harris claimed at the VP debate that Abraham Lincoln refused to nominate a candidate for Chief Justice in October 1864 because “Honest Abe said, it’s not the right thing to do” and wanted the people to vote first.

Lincoln, of course, said no such thing. He sent no nominee to the Senate in October 1864 because the Senate was out of session until December. He sent a nominee the day after the session began, and Salmon P. Chase was confirmed the same day. And Lincoln wanted to dangle the nomination before Chase and several other potential candidates because he wanted them to campaign for him. Lincoln’s priority was winning the election, which was necessary to win the war — and he filled the vacancy at the first possible instant.

Kamala Harris is simply inventing history.

LOL. Lincoln waited until the lame duck session in December to send a nominee to the Senate and they confirmed Chase in the same day. Even WaPo says Harris is a terrible history teacher.

                      • Ted, I'm a little worried. You seem to really be all in on Trump. Is it going to be an adjustment having him gone and out of the limelight this January?

You didn't read the article. He used the fake ID to get a PO box and had the old folks' ballots redirected there. The old folks used their own IDs to vote (i.e., to get a mail-in ballot sent to them).

                          Oh noooo...

If it stands, Thursday’s ruling may have a disproportionate impact on supporters of Democratic nominee Joe Biden, who are more likely than Trump voters to cast mail ballots.

Don't trust your vote to the USPS! Those basturds will most likely deliver your ballot on November 4th.

What Republicans were willing to work with Democrats that didn't involve basically re-writing the bill?

Compromise used to be a thing. That was Obama's biggest weakness. Just another data point in the tit for tat escalation that has been going on for decades. Obama said he had a mandate so it was his way or the highway. There wasn't a chance for compromise.

Some people are Democrats because they like the platform they espouse. Some people are Republicans because they like the platform they espouse, but but both are absolutely complicit in the shit show you see today. Sure Trump is an incompetent asshole, but to hear Dems say the nastiness is only Trump and he came to power in a vacuum is nonsense. I hope Biden de-escalates the back and forth. I really hope he does.
