You whittle away long enough, and you eventually reach a point that you can no longer be checked. We know Trump has an affinity for authoritarian strong men. That's what he respects. That's who he wants to be. I hope that the Constitution holds up, and that Trump is prevented from doing irreparable harm to the country, but I don't view the Constitution as some kind of magical firewall, forever guaranteeing our freedoms. I know that many in our culture believe that the Constitution was ghost written by God and will forever ensure our freedom, but I don't share that rosy viewpoint.

You think Trump is harmless, but I think he's a sociopath with a lot of power who wouldn't think twice about tearing down the country if he thought it would benefit himself personally. I don't think he's harmless. I think he's dangerous. (hyperbole alert!) A hundred years from now people will be positing the question, "If you could go back in time 170 years, would you kill the baby Trump?"
Ha... I knew this would be good!

I don't think Drumpf is harmless. He is sleeping with one hand on his iPhone sh*tposting and the other on the nuclear button. He might get the buttons mixed up!

Anyone that thinks Biden is a boy scout must be blind to the facts. The Biden family reeks of cronyism. It is not only his son Hunter Biden that received millions of our money (yes, we the tax payers' money) laundered via Ukraine which his daddy was in control of giving billions in aid to but also to his brother, James, getting yuge government contracts that he had no business in getting.

So tell me, from your research of Drumpf, how he is such a sociopath that he is going to tear down the country to benefit himself personally. How would tearing down the country benefit him? It seems it is the Dems that have no problem with the country being torn down given the way they are currently managing the sh*thole cities they are running. What is their endgame in letting business owners get beat up and their stores burned to the ground? Is it so they can point their finger at Drumpf and say, "Orange man bad. He did it."? I don't think a lot of folks are buying that one any more... especially the folks that are getting beat up and losing their businesses they worked hard for. Those folks will be telling their stories and hopefully suing the hell out of their local governments for letting it happen. Let's hear why we all should be voting for Joe. I don't want to hear because the "orange man bad" sh*t. If he is so damn bad then he would be impeached and kicked out of office right now, right? Show me the "high crimes" and sh*t! I don't want to hear, "But, but Drumpf hurt my feelings!"

Clearly Biden and all his dumbass friends in his party suck... and I don't like anything the republicans have to offer except for maybe Rand Paul. Therefore, I will be voting for Jo20.

What? California has been continuously locked down tight as a drum. And your deaths per million is not so great. 321 today and rising. You're leading the nation in cases. California got a late start but will catch up. Lockdowns don't work in California--the most devoted lockdown theocracy--either.

I'm not arguing in favor of lockdowns, but it seemed odd to lump California in with the other states you mentioned, given that its death rate is around one-fifth of the others'.

Agree. New York, Mass, New Jersey and Connecticut are much worse so far. Probably because of their lethal nursing home policies

Maybe part of it. Also the actual reason, which JIC articulated...

Good. Did Gaffigan tell us what Joe Biden would have done as president to keep not one person from dying from Covid-19? He did say, "You know all those people didn't need to die." I mean other than keeping travel open to China and Europe so he didn't look xenophobic and forcing everyone into their basements. I really would like to know how he could have saved everyone from dying.

                              • OK, Dems... Cuomo and Lemon on CNN the rioting has to stop: https://www.realclearpolitics.com/vi...s_to_stop.html

It is hurting Joe Biden in the polls. So you can stop the looting of businesses for your "reparations", beating of shop owners, burning, chasing 17 year olds down the street with your skateboards and Glocks, and go home now. Or you can keep up with the looting and get Drumpf re-elected.

And Joe and other Dems have said "pretty please" to stop...

Democrats Are Freaking Out, And They Should Be

The New York Times ran an article Wednesday about how voters in Wisconsin are responding to the riots by switching their support to Donald Trump. This is a very strange thing to see in the progressive Gray Lady. Anybody who follows the paper and its politics closely knows exactly what is happening here. It is a desperate plea to Democrats to change their tune on the violence sweeping across American cities.

And Democrats seem to understand this as well. Joe Biden released a video Wednesday in which he provided his clearest condemnation of the riots, looting, arson, assault, and destruction of property committed by left-wing “protesters.” Biden said that while protesting was utterly American, these acts are not. He said they were wrong. He did not however, tell people specifically to stop and more importantly, he made no suggestion as to what government and law enforcement should do to stop it.
