If something was found about trump and epstein would he be impeached ?

I should have called my shot earlier in the Trump thread immediately post-election, but I totally think that Trump is going to get impeached again before it's all over. Whether over this or something else, if the Dems take the house it is happening, no question.

I don't think anyone will really be implicated in the release of the files. The corruption is such a bipartisan effort that any serious effort to root it out is essentially mutually assured destruction. Maybe a scapegoat or two thrown in by each side, but nobody of real consequence or influence.

I mean, just look at Epstein. He was a former convict registered sex offender and he's coaching the former president of Harvard and Treasury Secretary on how to rizz up grad students. He was giving pointers to a congresswoman during a hearing. He was getting tipped off by a NYT reporter. Bill Gates was his friend to the end. Sure maybe a few people will get sent to timeout, but they'll come back. Maybe with an asterisk by their name for a while, but people forget. They'll stop remembering why it was a big deal.

I speculate that whatever these files are, they aren't treasure troves of damning information that implicates anyone. The only reason to keep records like that is if you were going to use them to blackmail people. If I had a private airplane, private island, and billions of dollars, I certainly wouldn't keep records of my sex trafficking crimes.

If Trump were implicated, the Biden camp would have found a way to release the records.

Oh I don't think any criminal charges will come out of the release. That would have happened already, of course. But I am sure there will be a bunch of shaming going on for a while. Then we can all get some closure and move on.

When this happens I'm curious what Vance does, does he stand by Trump or throw him underneath the bus. My guess is he tries to distance himself from Trump because any association with Trump will be toxic and he's got big plans.

Vance is gonna have to be nimble to take any advantage that presents itself. the Repubs are having a little scuffle over what a post-MAGA conservative wing looks like right now, and no way to know if folks will fall back in line approaching the next election.

My personal belief is that once Trump no longer has the ability to throw his weight around in the party, the ship will right itself. It has too.

If it doesn't, the two political parties with be the Democrats and the Democratic Socialists.

The Department of Justice has announced that more Epstein Files will be released today. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche told reporters at a Justice Department briefing that the material being made public today exceeds 3 million pages and includes roughly 2,000 videos and 180,000 images

Earlier in the month, the department had estimated that it had disclosed under 1% of its records related to Epstein. Congress has set a deadline of December 19, 2025, for the department to release all remaining Epstein files. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said at a press conference: "Today, we are producing more than 3 million pages, including more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images in total, that means that the department produced approximately three and a half million pages in compliance with the act."

The latest round of claims are similar to those of a 2016 civil lawsuit which was filed under a pseudonym. It accused the Mr Trump and Epstein of raping a 13-year-old girl, Fox News reports, at a party hosted by the paedophile financier in 1994.

It was reported that the lawsuit described similar acts in which Mr Trump allegedly tied the plaintiff to a bed, raped her, and then threatened her family if she spoke out. Epstein was alleged to have also raped the plaintiff.
