Looks like it’s actually taxes withheld from employees paychecks that she failed to remit to the IRS. That’s pretty low to take money from employees and keep it instead of giving it to the feds.

at least AOC gets to live it up like a movie star. Nice to see the Democrats have now decided to not touch carried interest in their $3.5 trillion bill. Tax the rich!?!?

I’ve ranted for many years about carried interest (Viking, where art thou?). Is there any good faith reason to oppose its repeal?

To keep cash donations coming in the door for your next political campaign? That seems to be the reason for Dems at this point.

I am blissfully unaware about carried interest. What are the odds that it affects me significantly?

Well I don't K, so it sounds like I can continue to not K with minimal risk. Thanks!

If you are not a general partner in a private equity fund or a beneficiary of a relative that was a general partner in a private equity fund, you likely won't run in to it. I need some of that sauce though.

You’re a wealthy doctor so it probably affects you. Or, I guess it doesn’t affect you since even when the Dems have total power they still can’t tax it at ordinary levels

wealthy enough to pay for an accountant to worry about how it affects me

Thats cool. I have only looked at the waterfalls of about 50 funds so obviously my experience is limited and there are plenty of structures I have not seen. Unfortunately instead of being the guy that gets carry, I am a guy that has to review the option pricing models used to value the carry for when it gets transferred to an estate. I just wish I had some of that sauce.

MSNBC Contributor Says Ocasio-Cortez And ‘The Far Left’ Are ‘Suicide For The Democrats’

Donny Deutsch, an MSNBC contributor, said Monday that Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and other Democrats from the “far left” would be “suicide for Democrats.”

Scarborough repeated something that he’s heard from liberals and the far left on “Morning Joe,” which is that Democrats are “radically out of touch with mainstream voters.” Deutsch agreed with Joe Scarborough’s statement.
