I think it would be highly likely for Romney to lose in the convention but be on the primary ballot due to collecting signatures. But I think he still wins in a primary.
My local State Representative lost in the state convention but went on to win in the primary - in spite of all of the campaigning from his opponent telling the world that HE was the candidate chosen by and supported by the party.Comment

There are things about him that are worse. Overall, I don't think he is worse. DeSantis' hostility towards the LGBTQ community is worse than Trump. DeSantis has raised his profile largely by speaking in code telling gay people to get back in the closet.
