Impeaching Trump: Make America Sane Again

A little late to this party, but these House managers are light years better than the managers for the first impeachment so far. Haven't listened to Trump's arguments yet (but I've heard they were terrible). Anyone who voted against the constitutionality of these proceedings is violating their oath of office. This is clearly an appropriate, and necessary, proceeding.

Once they become convinced that acquittal is assured, they will see it as wasted time. Trump fatigue will set in. I don't think it will cost the democrats politically in the end, but they will want an end to the process if no other GOP members will be swayed to impeach.

So McConnell votes that the proceedings are not constitutional bc they are too late... and the reason they are doing them now is bc he adjourned the Senate until after the inauguration? No- that makes total sense....

So far I like what the House Managers are arguing, lets hope they stick to the obvious and that they don't go down a needlessly partisan path. I really do think it is a big mistake to have only Democrats present this case. Pelosi should have appointed at least one Republican. This is an important process. It doesn't matter that they won't get a conviction. What matters is presenting the facts so no right thinking person knows in their heart what happened. Partisanship may prevent them from admitting it. But for saneness to move forward, the GOP base must know the truth and be embarrassed to continue to spew the talking points.

It's hard to imagine many Republicans willing to take that risk, Maybe one of the 10 who voted to impeach would have, but they're all already taking a lot of crap from their districts and the rest of the party. Guaranteed the Impeachment managers aren't trying to exclude conservative voices to help the cause. They cited several in their arguments.
