It's a Conservative org. for youth, Young America's Foundation. And for sure the tweet itself is a political framing. The video though stands on its own. It's representative of the elevation of historic grievance to a "get out of jail free" card. It's real and is being pushed as a narrative.

It's not just silly college students. This is the State of Washington's Office of Equity Task Force.

So - one thing I learned. I did not know that South Africa celebrates Thanksgiving. That's pretty cool, I guess. But it's also surprising to me that they would be celebrating the pilgrims arriving in America.

And one thing I'm curious about - if they're saying that expertise is a product of Whiteness and they want to get away from that - does that mean that anyone can show up and talk about equity, even if they have no expertise (IE experience and/or education) in the area? Also, if efficiency and timeliness are also products of Whiteness - does that mean they aren't in any hurry to make any changes and they certainly aren't concerned in doing it with any efficiency? (I'm also curious if they care about efficiency and timeliness when it comes to receiving their paycheck in this white value driven world they are forced to live in - but that's a debate for another day.)
