It was a great quote and spot on. I love that a sitting republican said it.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Yeah, it’s getting harder to tease him about that these days. Trump apologists are getting more rare than BYU touchdowns.

        • This first lady feud is so weird. The Trump presidency really is like a reality show. And I'm continually surprised at how Trump and his inner circle could get as far as they have while having such thin skin.

I think it was last week that he said he was done with Trump after the first month.

            • I really think Trump somehow in his puny mind thinks going to war with North Korea is good for his popularity, which I'm pretty sure is the only thing he really cares about. Nor do I think he has the common sense to see ahead to any of the negatives involved in such a reckless endeavor.

So stooping to Trump's level and throwing out principles is good policy?
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

I have been laughing about that all morning. This president still can shock me by doing stupid things.

Haha. Yeah, like anyone would believe that.

But I think he finally has come around.

I remember posting this thread how Trump’s words and personality could get us in to a nuclear war. I was attacking for being hyperbolic but it’s an absolute possibility.

That's not what I'm saying. This article hits on some of the points, though:

Trump is looney tunes. You don't even have to be a psychologist to see that. It's becoming increasingly clear there is no method to his madness. It's just madness.

I think there could very well be a method to his madness.

The only problem is you have to be criminally insane to understand it.

                              • I've reached a point of fatalism where I'm enjoying this weird reality show (The Trumps!). The moronic tweets, the teases ("Calm before the storm," "Just wait and see!"), the bickering among the Trump women ("I'm the real first lady!" "No, I am!"), the hired help gossiping about their idiot boss, etc. Emmys all around.
