I hope the Republicans in congress are thinking about how much easier it would be to work with Pence, than it is to work with Trump. I think that back in '73-74 some Republicans decided it would be better to work with Ford instead of with Nixon.

They would work right through Christmas recess if it meant getting him out. I have no doubt that there are plenty who would vote to send him packing if they had the means to do so.

Quite frankly - if for no other reason then just because they KNOW that there is no way he wins the next election, and if a primary challenger comes in and beats him out, then all of his supporters will quickly become apathetic to the election. The ONLY chance the Republicans have of keeping the WH in 3 years is if Trump is sent packing with enough time for the VP to do some good things, get everyone to forget Trump, and gain a following.
