That is hilarious. I guarantee you he has never read it."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

That was SUCH a little league softball they lobbed right to him. They really wanted him to come off not looking like an asshole but he refused. WHAT Evangelical says they're more of an 'Old Testament guy,' anyway?Originally posted by smokymountainrain View Posti especially liked the old vs new testament question. he says he likes them equally. lol. has no clue what the difference is.

He has no idea of course, but he really is an Old Testament kind of asshat. Lucky guess.Originally posted by Commando View PostThat was SUCH a little league softball they lobbed right to him. But Trump really is a scriptorian. In a radio interview a few years ago, he stated that his favorite passage is "an eye for an eye." I'd guess he thought Christ wimped out when he overturned that dictum.

Right, but how could he possibly narrow it down to a single favorite verse?Originally posted by Moliere View PostI thought his favorite book was Two Corinthians?

He's spoken to an audience of Christians and told them he doesn't ask God for forgiveness (an honest answer for a change). His Evangelical Christians supporters deserve derision for acting like he is righteous and sanctified by God.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostBut Trump really is a scriptorian. I have a soft spot for Christianity, because it's the religious flavor with which I pretend to identify, but it sure does produce a lot of people who have a blind spot for grifters.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostHe's spoken to an audience of Christians and told them he doesn't ask God for forgiveness (an honest answer for a change). McKay Coppins is turning out to be a consistently good read on Trump. Here's his latest piece on Trump's view of his Christian (and LDS) supporters.

I like McKay's stuff. I was surprised by absolutely none of what he said about Trump's disdain re: religion.Originally posted by Moliere View PostThat was a good read so thanks for posting.

A year or two ago we had a speaker (this guy, related to all the Utah Bangerters) come in to the J Rube Law Society to talk about his work as the USDA state director. Instead of speaking on the advertised topic, he spent most of his time telling us how spiritual Trump is and what a great family man he is.
Also when Pence first met Trump, he asked Trump to bow his head and pray with him? Who does that?"Seriously, is there a bigger high on the whole face of the earth than eating a salad?"--SeattleUte
