I don't think twitter needs to fact check trump. You can safely assume that 90% of the garbage he tweets is wrong. I guess it would make more sense to comment on the rare occasion when he happened to say something true. Blind squirrels, nuts, etc.
You should ask 'Fat Jerry'... he can show you that "pure paper ballots with no machines" are "extremely susceptible to fraud". It will "make your head spin!"

BTW, who cares about Utah? They don't have enough votes to decide anything. Y'all should just save your money by not voting.

Yeah, you don't want to be viewed as a publisher (by adding editorials to your customer's content, for example). The best thing to do is to remain neutral as a platform provider.
I mean this discussion is a cute little exercise, but obviously Trump doesn't have the power to change the law or the Constitution by executive fiat, contrary to the limited understanding of his authority that his syphilis-crippled brain grants him.

Drumpf isn't changing the constitution... only the Obam'er can do that.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

One of the great things (really!) about Trump is that given his lifelong penchant for self-publication and lack of any enduring principles, one can find a contradictory or self-damning statement for everything he says today.

But, but, but . . . that was 2014. Besides, he's not a normal kind of President!

As cities burned, Trump stayed silent — other than tweeting fuel on the fire

In cities across America on Sunday, people awoke to see shattered glass, charred vehicles, bruised bodies and graffiti-tagged buildings. Demonstrators gathered again in peaceful daytime protest of racial injustice. By evening, thousands had converged again in front of the White House, where people had rioted and set fires the night before.

President Trump stayed safely ensconced inside and had nothing to say, besides tweeting fuel on the fire.

Never in the 1,227 days of Trump’s presidency has the nation seemed to cry out for leadership as it did Sunday, yet Trump made no attempt to provide it.

                . . . . . . .

David Greenberg, a history professor at Rutgers University, said past presidents at moments of national crisis, whether George W. Bush after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks or Bill Clinton after the Oklahoma City bombing, have instinctively shifted their message and tactics in an effort to heal.

“Most presidents have found a way to rise to the occasion, even if it meant swallowing hard and suppressing some of their own anger and frustration,” Greenberg said. “There’s no mystery that Trump is not sticking to the normal presidential script here.”

If it wasn't a complete shitshow for millions of Americans, I'd find the cart of horse manure that Trump has upended into his own convertible a little more funny. After struggling so hard to cover up his lethargy and lack of leadership on covid-19 for oh, 70 days or so, he has no idea AGAIN how to provide leadership into the next crisis. Nor the next. This mother*ker had an executive order, however nonsensical and toothless, SIGNED on day 2 after getting his Tweet fact checked, but now he's enveloped in actual crises and has no idea how to proceed at all and, as such, will remain in a bunker beneath the Whitehouse until further notice. I think it would be best for everybody if he resigned, but that won't happen-- we'll have to tread water until November and he gets crushed in a nationwide landslide. I think I can do that.

I could have sworn that Trump was heralded as a criminal justice reform president. I just don't know how to square that with the audio of his call to the governors. It must be fake news.

Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

I think he's a natural choice for that title, as the author of The NY Times spread about executing the Central Park Five.

he'll cheat to stay in office and welcome help from unsavory characters. hell, he is trying to Flynn off the hook and it's not really a matter of dispute that the guy was a foreign agent. I worry he'll cheat to win and a complicit Bill Barr, who would be loathe to look into any irregularities.

Do we need to mention for posterity that this gargantuan shitbag teargassed peaceful protesters that were standing across the street so that HE could cross the street and stand in front of a church to hoist up a Bible for a photo op? Talk about blasphemy...

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
