Trump just can't leave well enough alone, and he's now claiming that "Nobody disobeys my orders." Can any moviegoer from the '90s hear that and not think of the epic scene from A Few Good Men, when Col. Jessup builds up to his "on the wall" soliloquy with, "We follow orders, son. We follow orders or people die. It's that simple. Are we clear?" I really think one of the reasons Trump's attorneys prevented him from meeting with Mueller was out of fear Trump would lose it, as Jessup did, with a mic drop answer to a question whether he instructed his staff to [do/say something unlawful]: "You're goddamn right I did!"

The NSA has finally seen the error in their ways and now recommends dropping spying on Americans... Or maybe we have just gotten much better at encrypting and hiding our conversations from them making it too hard.

The NSA says it's time to drop its massive phone-surveillance program

The National Security Agency (NSA) has formally recommended that the White House drop the phone surveillance program that collects information about millions of US phone calls and text messages. The Wall Street Journal reports that people familiar with the matter say the logistical and legal burdens of maintaining the program outweigh any intelligence benefits it brings.

The surveillance program began in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks in 2001, and collected billions of records per day, allegedly in the hunt for links to terrorism. However, after former intelligence contractor Edward Snowden leaked details of the program in 2013, Congress passed the USA Freedom Act in 2015, calling for a pared-down version that collected a few hundred million per year, to be retained by telephone companies.

But earlier this year, Republican congressional national security adviser Luke Murry revealed that due to compliance and technical issues, the NSA hadn't even been using the system for the previous six months, calling into question the NSA's previous insistence that such data collection is vital to national security. It appears that a number of senior intelligence officials are now of the opinion that the program provides limited value, with WSJ quoting one individual as saying "The candle is not worth the flame."

Of course, if it is too hard they could always just opt to not use it but keep the provision in place just in case.

Or maybe someone is afraid that Drumpf will spy on the Dems like they did with him?

Unless they can't pay the asylum application fee.

Trump introduces sweeping changes to asylum in memo

President Donald Trump on Monday evening announced a plan for sweeping immigration changes that take direct aim at migrants seeking asylum.

The memo for the attorney general and homeland security secretary outlines a series of measures to address the situation along the border. They include: adjudicating asylum applications within 180 days of filing; requiring a fee for asylum applications and work permit applications; and barring migrants who have entered or attempted to enter the US illegally from receiving work authorization before any relief or protection is granted.
The memo says the attorney general and homeland security secretary are to take action within 90 days.

            What a monumental POS.

Adjudicating an asylum application within 180 days of filing? HAHAHAHA good luck, f*ker. The current backlog in most jurisdictions is around 4 years...

Edit: Hmm... It looks like Drumpf is actually honoring his campaign promise of having them pay for the wall.

No thanks. I'd rather not take a giant paycut to be Trump's lackey.

According to that article, they'd want to have the new judges in place by some time in 2020. Hopefully before November, because all this bullshit is going away after that.

                      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Say what you want about Sessions--- he never lowered himself to the role of Trump's Minister of Propaganda. This is embarrassing.
