Honest question - which documents are you referring to? I'm guessing all of his court decisions have been turned over - which seem to be the most important. Or any writings, opinions, etc., that would describe his philosophy on things. But is there something specific that is missing in all of this?

My understanding is that The Executive Branch (TRUMP!!!!) has refused on grounds of executive privilege to release as many as a 100,000 pagers of materials from Kavanaugh's work in the Bush White House. It is certainly possible if not likely that there are legal analyses and opinions in those materials, but none of them reflect his judicial work.
      PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Cruz claims (in the clip posted by UT starting around 3:20) that most of the documents in question are from when Kavanaugh was staff secretary for GWB. He further claims that the documents in question were generally authored by other people but moved in and out of the Oval Office by the staff secretary. Further claims that Kavanaugh has produced more documents than the previous 5 nominees combined.

This is a liberal talking point that has no basis in fact or reason.

I'm going to not take Cruz's word for it. The last SCOTUS nominee to work in a White House had all documents released from her time there, that was Kagan. I'm most concerned about Kavanaugh's position on Presidential power. It doesn't seem like a good time to appoint someone who has an extreme view that he is purported to have. I think we are entitled to see documents concerning a nominees legal analyses and opinions.

            • Some good video of the awkward Gutenberg encounter. What an awkward thing to do and an awkward time to do it. Gutenberg comes from a ways and security clearly intervenes. Kavanuagh coukd have just acknowledged him better but after all the theatrics that morning by the Dems I don’t fault him for not engaging with Gutenberg.

I agree they should release all those documents right after Hillary releases her missing 33,000+ emails. I, for one, want to see all the emails about her daughter’s wedding. I want to know why they picked the dress they did, etc. and we are entitled to that sh*t!

I am guessing Kavanuagh follows Gutenberg's twitter feed...

Why would Kavanuagh want to shake his hand? The dude wants to block his nomination. All lawyers dream of being a supreme court justice from the time they exit their mother's womb. It is what makes these folks continue living. I am very surprised that Kavanuagh didn't give him a hand gesture like his assistant.

This is yet another example of flawed dem thinking. They think they can change the constitution with some judge that thinks she can create law from the bench. If Gutenberg wants to change the gun laws it is all pretty simple...

Instead they just want to nominate some judge that will change the law. Lazy basturds.

[edit: lol at BlueK and I being on the same wavelength this morning]
the video of Trump talking with Woodward and saying he thought his speech condemning neo nazis and KKK was a huge mistake, is pretty telling. In his own words Trump said he didn't like doing what should be the easiest thing in the world for any president to do, which is to condemn groups like that. How bizarre. Why would he see that as a mistake?

Because Drumpf made the white power hand signal... dah:

Drumpf is alway making the hand symbol for vagina as well. The guy is pure evil. This is leftist conspiracy theory 101, man.

Fine by me. You'll note that I only stated what Cruz claimed.

How similar was Kagan's White House role to Kavanaugh's role?

If Cruz is right, then the documents in question would contain neither Kavanaugh's legal analysis nor his opinions.

no conspiracies. It's his own recorded words saying he regretted putting down neo nazis and KKK. That's what you're defending.

Drumpf called KKK, neo-Nazis, and white supremacists 'repugnant'.

His actions speak loader than his words... He makes WHITE POWER HAND SIGNALS and did it while saying this!

                            • I don't know if you're purposely not getting it or not, but on tape he told Bob Woodward he saw it as a mistake to call those people repugnant. I'm not saying it was wrong for him to call them repugnant, HE IS. And not just a mistake, but "the biggest fucking mistake" he's made. That's what you're defending.

We don't need all those documents for Kavanaugh nomination hearing... we want all those documents to see what that SoB George W was up to. We want know who came up with the idea of there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and other fabricated BS. Who the hell cares about Kavanaugh?
