So a better solution is to write your phone number on your kid's shirt and tell them they are on their own to get into the U.S.? That is a f*cked up way to apply for asylum. Out of the 12,000 kids stacked up on the border only 2,000 of them came with so called "parents" (if it is indeed their parents and not some trafficker). Why the hell did Obama and crew leave this mess? It has been going on at least since 2014. Now that the midterms are coming up the dems now seem to be highlighting their own f*cking problem.Last edited by Uncle Ted; 06-20-2018, 01:18 PM."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

The article? Did you watch the clip? Is the guy lying? You're actually claiming that a live interview with a border patrol agent is somehow distorted? That the agent is lying or wrong? And this is all Carlson's doing?Originally posted by frank ryan View PostWalter’s dad, that article wasn’t truthful.PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Who ruined Central America? Reagan? Bush? Carter? We can probably trace this back to the Truman administration to be honest.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostWho the f*ck was running things in 2014 and before? This is exactly why the media is hard to take credibly. There is a lot of truth in what you are saying, of course. The US has a shameful record in Central America. And this has been true for DECADES. Lives have been ruined there due to our actions for DECADES. And yet, what stirs up the media? Not those actions, not the lives that have been lost and which are currently being ruined there, but only the visual at the border that they can use (including visuals from the prior administration or a protest) to make an issue stick to Trump. Watching Rachel Maddow break down and cry made me sick to my stomach. What a hypocrite. If you really care about these children and their family bonds then how about reporting on the issues that drive their desperation, even if it isn't related to Trump? This situation is a mess. but it isn't all Trump's doing nor is it to do with any just-now adopted policy.Originally posted by Commando View PostDangerous situations? You mean like living in a Central American banana republic that the U.S. ruined? Yeah that's why they are applying for asylum. It's only this administration that has tried to apply punitive measures to asylum seekers to deter them.PLesa excuse the tpyos.

I am guessing that Central America had at least a small part in ruining Central America.Originally posted by Commando View PostWho ruined Central America? Reagan? Bush? Carter? We can probably trace this back to the Truman administration to be honest.
Look at Venezuela, for example... those dumbasses sit on one of the largest, if the not largest, oil reserves in the world but their country is starving and their currency is worth sh*t. How exactly did the U.S. f*ck up this country? Did the CIA install the dumbass dictator that ran this country into the ground?"If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

Why stop there? It goes all the way back to Manifest Destiney and Teddy Roosevelt. But it isn't ALL our fault. And we have also done a lot of good. This is a complicated mess that defies any easy solution. It is a rolling disaster that deserves regular and focused reporting in the media. But they give it none until they think they can stick it to Trump. The media is complicit in the disaster there and they don't care.Originally posted by Commando View PostWho ruined Central America? By "spokesdman in the article" I assume you mean Border Patrol Agent in the video clip? And you know he lied how?Originally posted by frank ryan View PostThat spokesman in the article wasn’t truthful about policy changes in terms of separating families and Daily Caller didn’t check that. I know how this could probably be fixed but it would require a Constitutional change to how districts are represented.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostYes, that is why we need more than two parties like a lot other democracies around the world... Of course, with our democrats and republicans it is really like having the same, dumbass party. With a change of power all we get is the same sh*t again.

I certainly have no crystal ball. I think we need clear immigration standards, legislated, which are enforced consistently over time (non-selective enforcement leads to predictability and thus more effectively influences behavior). I also think that apart from very specific instances (which in my mind will be very rare and far between) we need to stop meddling in Latin American economies and governments. We also need to encourage economic stability by, say, continuing with NAFTA (or similar) and avoiding tariffs.Originally posted by BlueK View PostWhat's the solution to the border problem and how do we get there?
There is no easy answer of which I am aware. But by steady, non-interventionist, consistent policies we might be able to unwind wrongs of the past and improve border security.PLesa excuse the tpyos.
