What I don't understand about these social democrats is how little they actually get done... Look at Bernie, for example. He has been a senator for about 20 years but has only managed to write or sponsor a total of three bills:

Two of them were for new post office locations.

BTW, how's the Sanders FBI probe going?

I still think that Bernie would have been a better choice for the dems than Hillary. They might have won with him.

Never had much trouble talking politics with you Frank even though we are in little agreement.

Social demos wants would be actually nice. My question would be where is the money going to come from to pay for it all.

Duh, it will come from the never ending piggy bank of the 1% and corporations.

                  • Trump asked RNC chairwoman to stop using 'Romney' in her name: report

President Trump asked current Republican National Committee (RNC) head Ronna Romney McDaniel if she would be willing to stop using her middle name publicly before she became chairwoman, according to The Washington Post.

The report comes amid revelations that the president is encouraging Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) to run for reelection as a means of blocking former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney from running for the seat.

McDaniel, who is Romney's niece, has used the family name for much of her career, however she appears to have stopped using it in party communications as of late.

Before taking her post at the RNC, McDaniel served as the chairwoman of the Michigan Republican Committee, where her grandfather George Romney was governor.

The Hill has reached out to the White House and the RNC for comment.

                      That's funny.

My prediction for the Hatch re-election: Hatch and RMoney will battle hard, split the vote, and give it to Jason Chaffetz to walk in and be the republican's candidate. I am think Utah still doesn't have a runoff election, right?

Not sure Romney wants his name associated with the RNC at the moment TBH.

One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

                          • The Trump response to the NYT article claiming he watches 8 hours of tv a day is hilarious. "I don't have that much time to watch tv because I'm reading so much. I read a lot of...documents. Yeah I'm reading documents all day!"

The most disturbing thing to me about Trump is not his views or proposed policies but how unserious he is about the whole enterprise of his presidency. I thought Obama was a lightweight when he was running. There will never be anyone lighter than trump.

                            • Trump's approval numbers are now at their worst levels ever. The main stories possibly affecting this latest drop are the unpopular tax bill and Roy Moore.

Hmmmmm, perhaps. Or maybe people are just getting tired of having such a dick as president.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
