Because of the things Flake talked about, if the GOP doesn't correct itself and keeps following trump into the sewer, I hope it gets trashed by the dems in 2018.

You should see the basket of shit bags waiting in the wings to run in the GOP primary. Look up Kelli Ward if you feel like being angry.

Yeah, I can't support the national socialism of bannonism that the GOP is turning into.

I'd like to hear more about that. I'd be surprised if that's completely accurate. No way does US have troops in Eritrea, Zimbabwe (to name just a couple), at least with their permission. Those countries are pretty adversarial with us.

It was a great speech, but let's be honest, he was a dead man walking. It wasn't Trump that caused hsi popularity to tank, although his opposition to Trump sure didn't help. We all lose when good, moderate conservatives are left out because they are not polarizing enough.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

The content was good but the delivery was too reminiscent of general conference.

I had the same thought. I enjoyed the speech but wondered if this was part of his tryout to make G.A.

then his next job will be to work on cramming that wedge in between members of the church and new "Republican" party being created by Steve Bannon.

Good riddance Jeff Flake... and all the other war-mongering Bush-era Republicans. Your days are numbered.

Flake is not a bad dude. But it sounds like you and I are on the same page that we wish all this moral courage would have been more apparent in years gone by.

Uh, yeah, cause under Trump we don't have any war mongering. By the way, where is Niger?
