Poll: Just 6% Of Americans Say Russia Story Is 'Important'

    Edit: And BK.
That's funny. Did you even read the article? The headline is lying about the actual poll results. 6% of the people polled said that they think the Russian story is the most important story right now. That is different from saying that it is important or not. Given the nature of the question, 6% sounds reasonable.

Personally, I think the most important story right now is that we have a moron in the oval office.

Given all the chat you and Frank give to the subject I would have guessed otherwise.

BTW, having a moron in the office didn't even register on this poll... The most important story right now is health care and the GOP'ers punted on that one.

Here are the top issues people care about:

      Health care -- 35%
      Unemployment and jobs -- 13%
      Terrorism -- 11%
      Immigration -- 10%
      Climate Change -- 10%
      Relationship with Russia -- 6%
      [...]
Same crap, different party. When will folks figure out they need to vote for someone outside the GOP or Dem party to actually get real change?

Come on, Uncle Ted. It's time for you to wake up and smell the coffee. That doofus Johnson is never going to be president of the United States. Probably would be healthy for you to just accept that now.

Yeah, Johnson has already said he is not running again. Of course Johnson is never going to be president. duh.

See? Even he has accepted reality. Time for you to follow suit.

If a third-party candidate can't move the needle when the two big parties field the worst two candidates ever, then this third-party nonsense just needs to stop.

                • I will give UT a little (and I mean a little) credit. The GOP deserves all the contempt, scorn, disgust, and ridicule it is getting from all political sides. After years of meaningless ACA repeal votes, they cannot even produce a workable alternative. They are not fit to govern. The GOP should disband and see if a responsible party can be formed. And no, it won't be the libertarian party. Those guys can't govern AND are crazy.

Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

                      Never!

As long as the system is rigged for only two parties then it will be hard for a 3rd-party to get a lot of traction. Of course, you have to wonder why so many people don't even bother voting and why the vast majority disapproves of congress all the time.

The exciting thing is this healthcare issue is most likely going to cause changes. The ACA is a piece of crap: It did nothing to fix the rising costs of healthcare. Most folks now pay outrages deductibles and have less insurance options. At least 15 of the 23 co-ops created under Obamacare have gone under (with all that taxpayer money down the drain). The medicare expansion is killing state budgets. Wait times in emergency rooms are higher. It is creating a huge physician shortage. The number of americans without insurance is most likely going to skyrocket. It is driving the USA deeper into debt faster than ever and folks are scrambling to cover all Obamacare loses up. It is setting up the perfect sh*t storm and it is about to hit.

So in the up coming election cycles I expect a lot heads are going to roll. The dems may soon even gain control of congress in the next cycle or two. It doesn't matter because the can't fix this and will only make things worse. GOP'ers had their chance and couldn't make it happen (which is most likely a good thing for us older folks). I can't wait for medicare for all (and early retirement)!

                      :clap::rockon1:

When the Millennials figure out they have been screwed yet again (let me thank y'all in advance for helping me pay for my health insurance with all those new taxes) then I expect at least one of the "big 2" to fall and one of the 3rd parties to take its place. My bets are on the Libertarians.

This morning I sent off checks to the government and to Kaiser for supplemental coverage under Medicare that begins for me in two weeks. My coverage will be the same as, or in some cases better than, what I have now. Plus I'll save around $350/month.

Suddenly, I don't care as much about the health care debate, although it will be fun to watch Trump in the months ahead as he pirouettes around his many campaign promises for a cheaper system with full coverage for everyone. Since he, and he alone, can fix the system, I wish he'd get to work instead of passing the buck to the GOP Congress which had only seven years to come up with something better.

Yeah, if I am correct you will soon have to be sharing that Medicare with us all. BTW, keep in mind you may need a little bribe money to pay the doc off so you don't have to wait in the long line to see him. I am planning for that in my retirement budget.
