I agree with a lot of that. If this comes to very little, then the Tumpsters will feel even more justified in rejecting anything the lamestream media puts out. They will retreat further to friendly media and websites.

    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

        This part made me laugh:

If that's the case, there are big dangers for the press. If we engage in Times-style gilding of every lily the leakers throw our way, and in doing so build up a fever of expectations for a bombshell reveal, but there turns out to be no conspiracy – Trump will be pre-inoculated against all criticism for the foreseeable future.
As if Trump or his followers have ever given two shits about facts or legitimate criticism.

You assume only Trumpsters will be inoculated.

In reality, if you continually sound the war drum and a lady's bridge club arrives, even the warrior natives will be nonplussed.

I wonder how we define a Trump follower or a Trumpster. Would that be anyone who is still glad he beat Hillary or is it more narrowly defined as someone who supports everything he does and says.

I have friends who like me are glad Trump won, but often shake our heads at what he says and wish he would shut up a lot more.

This is me. I wish Trump would act more presidential but I'm glad Hillary isn't in office.

I certainly wouldn't do that. As I have stated many times I have friends and family who feel like you and I. None of them are assholes, racists, biggots, idiots, et. al.

                      --preexisting conditions won't preclude coverage
--children <26 can be covered by a parent's plan

When he said these things to Lesley Stahl on 60 Minutes, she looked a little incredulous, Trump assured her, "I know how to do this stuff." Of course, that was before anyone knew how complicated the issue could be.
Bet you didn't know this, but here is the real reason President Trump is insisting on a repeal/replace of ACA:

I know I am lucky that I don't have to worry about getting health issues taken care of. I am all for those less fortunate having the opportunity as I do to take care of their health needs.

I get bronchitis every year and have it now. I called my Dr. to get the antibiotic that takes care of this. They can no longer prescribe without seeing me. They can see me a week from today.
