The nice thing is the states control elections.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Dig your own grave, and save!

Anyone who actually thinks Trump can control elections, cannot be well versed in how that works. And it’s like you are praying it will actually happen to manifest so overt opinion of him and those who may support him.

        Chicken-little indeed.

          Oh boy.

Frank he is not going to suspend elections. And people sure as hell wouldn’t stand by and allow that to happen.

              lol

Colter has been on a roll.

              Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

                You're right.

A significant portion of them, possibly even a majority, would cheer it on, say "this is what I voted for," and convince themselves that Trump was just holding the elections off until they could be made safe from fraud, waste, and abuse. Or whatever the hell the current GOP's buzzwords are for doing whatever the hell they want.

Keep the eyerolls coming. You never seem to revisit the stuff and own when you get the scoldings wrong, which has happened more than once.

Tom Holman, the border czar is now saying they are going to keep databases of people who protest ICE and then broadcast the information to employers, neighbors school etc,

That should prompt alarm, especially if someone claims they care about cancel culture.

You'd defend him suspending elections just like you defend ice

No, Trump can’t cancel the midterms. He’s doing this instead

Presidents do not have the power to delay or cancel elections

The Constitution requires that a new Congress be sworn in on January 3, 2027. Election Day is set in law, so it is theoretically feasible for Congress to move it, but not to cancel the election. Elections are supposed to be administered by each state, so state governors and legislatures could, in theory, move their own elections to deal with a major disaster, but there’s no precedent for it. To get into the weeds of all of this, read a report from the Congressional Research Service.

Thank you. All this worry over nothing. I'm sure this won't happen at all and even if it does it will be for very sincere reasons. Maybe it will be something to do with Hunter Biden, trans athletes, Joe Biden's dementia, or the scandal of the century committed by Somalians and uncovered by the barely literate youngster from Utah.

I understand the angst this POS president can generate. I feel it everyday. But he cannot cancel the election for the reasons stated, the primary one being that the states run their elections. It would be awesome if he signed some stupid EO and the repub govs complied, thus canceling out their own representation, while the dem govs did their duties. But it's not going to come to that. And per chance, within the next 10 months something happens to make elections impossible, then we'll be fully occupied with whatever that is.

Concerning the justified frustration with our POS president that many of us feel, the best solution is via the electoral process. That is where we get our retribution. Attending protests is also theraputic. Also, I take heart in that fact the much of what the POS bleets about often times never really comes to pass and/or isn't permanent. And that which he does put into action is very unpopular. Look at this immigration enforcement. It's a political disaster. Ezra Klein's latest podcast is pretty good on that front. Give it a listen.

Finally, he's old and not well. He will die soon. And people will point and call us callus for being happy.

Throwing pearls at swine. They are too heavily invested in the self-fulfilling prophecy of canceled elections among other dictator actions to prove they were right about him. A POS? Yes. Is he implementing policies that are bad. Yes. But this over-reacting temper-tantrum is as JL said. Become Bluesky 2.0. I have had moderate-Dems friends who have left it all together for the echo chamber it has become. This is a smaller echo-chamber but nonetheless.
