Kamala's press secretary confirms that she supports a return to forced busing:

Many studies, including studies by liberal academics that were hoping to find data that showed that busing was a successful policy, have shown that it was counterproductive and led to no increase in academic achievement for black students. Integration of schools (and all aspects of life) are a good a desirable thing, in my opinion, but busing usually doesn't lead to integration. I'm sure there are a few success stories, but in most cases it leads to white flight, which exacerbates segregation not only in schools but also in residential housing. It is a terrible policy and the fact that Kamala wants to see it return says a lot about her as a candidate.
