Looks like the party leaders are working to consolidate the moderate voters.
One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

that's so unfair to the candidate who can get 30% support!

Or as Uncle Ted would put it: The Dems are railroading Bernie out again.

Stupid Dems. I guess they care more about winning an election than letting some idealist hijack the party!

exactly. if the Trump bot machine is promoting Bernie it's not because they're socialists or because they think Bernie should be President.

                        • Once Pete dropped out, it was obvious the Dems were going to try and coelesce behind a more moderate candidate instead of letting Bernie do what Trump did to the Reps in 2016. It is a smart strategy. I wonder if Klobuchar was promised the VP spot with Biden. I think she'd be a nice running mate and that would be a pretty decent ticket.

                            • I know everyone is keen on Biden's chances against Trump, but to me it looks like 2016 all over again.

But this time instead of Trump harping on Hillary's emails, he will harp on the Hunter Biden issue.

I would be thrilled to see Biden over Bernie, but part of me would love to see a Bernie vs. Trump debate.
