Yeah, I hacked this from almostadoctorcoug's post, but it fits better under the politics section. This guy is one of the better medical bloggers out there and ADC linked to his rant against the AMA, which I agree with. However, I liked his healthcare reform post even better:

And I'm glad. I'm getting paid this week, even though it is orientation.Originally posted by ERCougar View Postalmostcongrats. It's not yet July 1.
It is really quite boring, as I essentially did 2 years of sub-I at this hospital. I know the EMR upside down and inside out.
I'm terrified about next week."Don't expect I'll see you 'till after the race"

to un-hijack my hijack...this blog post was awesome. I read his and kevinmd everyday. They both give an interesting perspective on the problem.Originally posted by ERCougar View PostYeah, I hacked this from almostadoctorcoug's post, but it fits better under the politics section. I'd really like to read surgeon's take on it, especially the RVU accusations. Happy wrote an interesting post when he stated that surgeons assumed no more liability than a medicine doc. It was a compelling argument. Check it out."Don't expect I'll see you 'till after the race"

The blog is problematic, though probably not for the same reasons that MormonRedDeath will site.
It just reaffirms my belief that allegory is one of the hardest things to write well, and this is another example of why only the most-gifted writers should ever try.
His logic is flawed and overly-simplistic, and the allegory of a tomato is unappetizing."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

Enjoyed the The Medicare Tomato immensely. Found myself laughing and nodding the entire time. Thanks... it gave me more insight into the predicament you grocers find yourselves in. I'll remember to be a little more polite next time one of you recommends an expensive purple tomato.
