      Not at the moment, but throughout the '70s he was calling for the nationalization of all utilities, banks, energy companies and essentially all major industries. He's not calling for that today, but I don't think he's rejected the idea either.

        I certainly won't vote for someone wanting to do that. I could see him having backed that in the past.
        However, my point is, the right-wing media and GOP politicians use the socialist label to apply to universal healthcare or affordable higher education. They try to act as if those ideas make us Venezualan or North Korean. So democrats will point to European social democracies as examples of countries that made those things part of their systems, the same right-wing voices turn around and shout how, "they aren't actually socialist." It's very dishonest.
        There are several things we could learn from European countries if we were less ridiculous and arrogant including criminal justice reform and addiction management.

          Nor do I think that BS has renounced his former admiration for Cuba, the Soviet Union, and Venezuela.
