She's less of a former feminist, and more of a crazy person whose conspiracy theories used to be more based on male conspiracies to keep women down. It's re-entry day! The most challenging part of the mission is today, but the NASA scientists and engineers have proven themselves to be among the most competent public employees in the history of the world. The bravery and goodness of the astronauts is legendary. I'm so grateful to have witnessed such an inspiring and uplifting achievement.

As a kid, I watched pretty much every Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo mission and was transfixed by the liftoffs and re-entries. The incredible amount of heat generated and the fragile quality of the shields are deeply worrisome--witness the more recent Columbia disaster. Hoping/praying//expecting a much better outcome today..

I was a wreck last night watching some videos. The Artemis II crew took some personal memorabilia from the Columbia and Challenger crews to space so they would also have the experience of achieving their goals. It really got me in the feels.
