Is it this election that Texas will finally vote for a democratic senator? Magic 8 ball says 'outlook not so good'.
But seriously, if primary voters can abandon all reason and vote for someone as compromised as Paxton, maybe this is the time independents and enough GOP voters turn the tide."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

33 billion? Come on, Frank.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostTrump and all the dark money backing him up and won a lot of victories lately, despite being unpopular. I was surprised Massie lost, and the opposition spent almost 33 billion in that campaign.
Citizens United continues to haunt us.
Even if you meant 33 million, this is not true. That is what was spent in the entire campaign and Massie received a ton of money from anti-Israel groups (Qatar, etc)."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

His religious statements are fascinating.
God is non-binary
God is pro-choice because He (They?) asked Mary for consent before the immaculate conception.
Etc.
I almost feel bad I don't live in Texas anymore. Would be a fun campaign to watch locally."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Who cares about the specifics of his religious thoughts. I'll take that over lionizing the crusades and Christian Nationalism stuff, saying things about Christian actions not applying to foreigners.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

Frank, when I say something is "fascinating" and comment that the campaign would be "fun to watch", why do you feel the need to interpret it as an endorsement of the other side and respond with whataboutism?Originally posted by frank ryan View Post

I’m no Talarico fanboy, buts he’s multiple times more appealing than Beto. I’ll definitely be voting for Talarico, but it’s not a hard choice. There are fewer politicians in Texas that are more corrupt than Paxton, which is a feat in and of itself. Paxton is an embarrassment and I hope he loses in November, but I think he’ll squeak this one out."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Impressive interview overall. Seems like he is becoming a more seasoned politician.
Yeah, I would vote for him over Paxton too. But I predict he will get slaughtered in the general election."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."
