This scandal really resonates with me. Every day I fight traffic, I try to outsmart traffic, to get to work and help people and help support my family, to get my kids to school, to cello lesson, to ballet lesson, etc. etc. etc. I fight traffic and try to outsmart it to retain my sanity. My paranoid side has suspected that lane closings, traffic patterns, road constructoin, traffic diversions, are highly manipulated and politicized, rife with pork and ulterior motive. I was right. And Christie really knew how to hurt the mayor; when I vote in the mayor elections I tihnk of the bothced traffic management. This also should be enough to disqualify Christie from the presidency.

That ranks right up there with the dems shutting down the monuments in DC...

I just read an article that 4 EMS response teams were delayed and a 91 year old grandma died later in a hospital. I am sure more stories like this will surface. Those kinds of stories will make it real and it is looking like Christie won't be able to distance himself from it.
What amazes me is that he is taking and will take more heat for this than Obama ever has for Benghazi.

The difference is that those American folks that died in Benghazi signed up for that. They knew of the possibility that they might have to die for their country. That poor 91 year old grandpa that died in that later in a hospital because he had to wait in a traffic jam in ambulance equipped with life support didn't sign up for that crap. It is obvious that grandpa died as a direct result of that traffic jam. Just like it is obvious that those Americans in Benghazi died because of some youtube video.

Good point. Pres. Bush should never have made that youtube video that got that ambassador killed.

There is also a difference because the Obama administration was at most negligent. Christie's adminstration was corrupt and acted with malice aforethought, tormenting millions of peolpe in a most cruel manner, and as Ted notes, even killing some.

That's true. Negligent presidents whose negligence leads to Americans' deaths and the subsequent coverup of said negligence is not noteworthy. But holy crap, did you see Chris Christie caused a traffic jam? Dude should hang.

                  This far away?

Voters have short memories, and if Christie can nip it in the bud, then he might survive this.
What about Gates' charges of political motives for Hillary's opposition to the troop surge in 09?

I wish voters had longer memories than they do. Hillary as President has me in convulsions. There is no point of policy over which people generally disagree upon which she and I agree. None.

I loathe Hillary, what she stands for, what she does and what she is.

Just wanted to take a moment to crap on Hillary. Voters do not remember her questionable investments, her affair with Vince Foster, her mismanagement of Libya, her clandestine meetings in violation of the Open Meeting laws during Bill's attempted revision of health care, her false accusations of the accusers of Bill etc.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

At least I'm not a homophobe, even though opposing Hillary is the same as opposing Brezhnev. Come to think of it, Hillary kinda resembles Brezhnev.
A vote for Hillary is a vote for increased taxes, more intervention in health care, more mismanaged foreign affairs, more questionable investments, more corruption in political appointments, more attacks on the Second Amendment, more reduction in property rights, more business as usual.

Are you insinuating that I am a homophobe?

Your opposition to gay marriage would indicate so.

This is interesting. When did you come around? I recall you being anti-gay rights/marriage back in the CG days.
