If you're going to write something that long, maybe the second paragraph shouldn't start with saying how great it is to "just...no...longer...care".

I don't care if you care or not. But my observation is I don't write that much about stuff I don't care about.

If Dehlin's name is attached to something, I typically skip it. I am surprised he gets so much attention.

I am surprised we didn't also get a Katy Kelly update.

Apparently Elder Nelsons wife also spoke at this conference thingy and she said:

Pray for the spiritual gift of your sexual preferences to align with eternal laws

Sounds like she gave a pretty good guarantee...

“there is a 100 percent guarantee” that Jesus will cleanse and “heal” anyone who repents.
Wendy Nelson, the wife of a top Mormon official, asserted recently that LGBT people should "repent" to have their "sexual feelings be in harmony" with God's law.Nelson's husband, Russell, heads the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, which is the second highest governing body in The Church of Jesus Chris...

This saddens me. BYU's athletic programs could be damaged by this doubling down.

I didn't link an article. I got the quote from someone that heard it first hand. The article linked by someone else was too much of a hit piece to be worth linking.

Pray away the gay. I guess that is slightly better than aversion therapy or shock therapy away the gay, but I bet she would advocate for those as well.

I wonder how many suicides this quote is going to cause. It is pretty difficult to get more offensive than pray away the gay, but she was able to get there.

it is a misquote. She said feelings, not preferences. She wasnt even referring to gays at least specifically

I don't see how changing preferences to feelings changes it at all. It is clearly directed at changing the gay.

Laugh about it all you want, but there is an increase in suicides among homosexual teens when the church makes these types of statements. It is a real problem.
