If people want to fight the rules, fine, but the rules in this case were in place well beforehand. The dad looked like a Ute dunce, he even had the facial hair thing going.
When you couple this story with the recent Ankle Porn bit out of BYU-I, it was a bad weekend for modesty topics.Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

Schools have the right to enforce dress codes using community standards of modesty. This just seems like a lousy battle to fight, especially when the fighters are on such shaky ground in the first place.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

You could invite some fashion designer from NYC or Paris to teach them good taste. It would be a new job to improve what people wear or we could abolish the useless activity of proms."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

LDS Living is turning into my new go-to for Mormon crazy. Sorry Meridian, time to step up! The comments on this article about when your child doesn't fit the Mormon mold are pretty fantastic. Most people just can't help themselves.

I am so tired of this. Where do any of YOU get the right to judge who should or shouldn't be in Church, or how long or short their hair should be??? Native American Indians generally wear their hair long. Should they be rejected because they don't meet YOUR standards? Should a child be denied the gospel because they don't dress to YOUR standards? My eldest daughter was being judged and bullied in the Ashlan Ward (many of the parents were beyond rich) and it showed in their children's clothes. My daughter refused to go to Church. Not going WASN'T an option. So she went in a nightgown, slippers, and a robe. The third Sunday Bishop Rindlesbacher asked her if the standards had changed. She told him no, and explained what was happening. Nothing wrong in the home, just a bunch of self-righteous people making judgements...
I have seen men in the temple with long hair in a pony tail. I tell myself I don't care about their hair I am just glad they are going to the temple. I agree with Pres. Uctdorf's statement. As their testimonies deepen they will change until than stop judging others.I told him he was a goddamn Nazi Stormtrooper.
