    I agree Chico was a weird mention as an analog to El Paso, and not just because Chico State was considered for several years as the best party school in the nation by Playboy (I only read the articles).

    It's interesting that the towns mentioned as California's worst are those that bear the closest resemblance to Texas.

    I feel like some people conflate Baker with Bakersfield....not the same despite the name. Baker and Barstow are horrible but Chico?

    I’ve been to McCallen. Lots and lots of Brown (errr democrat) people. Trump would also call it a shithole ( I think it’s on on par with El Paso and better than panhandle) plus it’s not too far from South Padre.
