Given the nose stud and tie die colored socks the mother is wearing she is obviously a dope smoking hippie. And what is up with the sole patch the principal is sporting? Hurricane Utah is going to hell in a hand basket."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

That principal is a dick. The school was completely, 100% in the wrong. If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

I can see both sides.
The Principal is a control freak, and the mom is a hippie freak. They probably know each others family from way back, and have a bad back story. The person who called the press is the person at fault in this story. I think the home teachers need to get in there and push the 1st Presidency Message more diligently.

I guess this wasn't what I expected. When you said red hair, I thought the girl did something pretty crazy with the dye. I grew up in a school district with a pretty strict dress code (regulated length of hair on boys, boys couldn't wear professional team logos) and there was always some kind of idiot parent on a crusade with their 9 year old boy with the rat tail. These people were consistently swatted down in the courts. So I kind of expected the same in this story.
Wrong.
I've seen countless girls around with a similar hair color/dye. I just don't get it. It's not distracting.
However that douchebag soul patch on the principal is enormously distracting.Last edited by Color Me Badd Fan; 02-15-2013, 10:39 AM.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I'd tell my kid to go back to class and go have it out with the principal. That is arbitrary and vague crap. Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

The principal should have taken a picture to document it. The principal's clearly a douche, but I'm guess this girl's hair was pretty close to bright pink on Friday and by Monday when they did the story it had toned down.

Probably true. I went to school in the 90s. Punky color was ver popular. There were kids with purple, pink, blue and green hair. I managed a few blue streaks, but I couldn't get away with more than that with my folks. Seriously, I don't see what the big deal is, even if it was pink. It's a lame policy.Originally posted by jay santos View PostThe principal should have taken a picture to document it. It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

Fixed it for you.Originally posted by jay santos View PostThe principal should have taken a picture to document it.The principal's clearly a douche, but I'm guess this girl's hair was pretty close to bright pink on Friday and by Monday when they did the story it had toned down.
My first reaction when I heard the story was that it must have been a pretty bright red or pink. But watching the video, it was pretty clear that this was nothing of the sort. It was a regular salon, and it was a "natural" range dye. The school's being completely ridiculous. If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

I am guessing that hippie mom is regretting that she and all her liberal friends voted against the school voucher initiative back in 2007. Now she is stuck sending her daughter to a public school with a principal with a stupid looking sole patch instead to a nice private school."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.
