I would assume there's only one way to know if something tastes good.

We had a hired man have to beat a cat away with a hammer when it crawled under the piece of equipment he was working on and took a swipe at him. There was also a man who turned himself in here for killing a mountain lion with a bow and arrow, and he claimed self defense. Thinking this impossible, the game warden was ready to write him up until he arrived at the site and saw that the arrow had pierced the cat's skull directly through the center of its forehead and pinned its head to its chest. Forensic tracking confirmed the distance (50 yards) and that the cat was running directly toward the hunter, who made the best and luckiest shot of his life.

It is true that they're rarely seen. They are shy, and people are strange to them, so they try to stay away. The problem comes when they are hungry or when they get used to being around people.

Yeah I thought that's was a funny thing to say to set someone's mind at ease. It also sounds completely made up. I have a buddy here who was solo backpacking in NorCal and saw a cat following him along the tree line about 50 yards away. After a half mile my friend felt threatened and tried to put more distance between them. The cat closed the gap so my friend shot it. He shoveled and shut up. That's my only cat story.

I have taken my 12 and 13 yo scouts to shoot clays twice in the last six months. How are they to get the shotgun shooting merit badge otherwise?

Now it is water gun fights...

Boy Scouts Ban Water Gun Fights, Limit Water Balloons, Say They’re Not ‘Kind’

A summer rite of passage in the dog days of summer won’t be available to Boy Scouts at their camps or other activities because the group recently announced a ban on the use of water guns for anything other than target practice and a limit on water balloons.
“Water guns and rubber band guns must only be used to shoot at targets, and eye protection must be worn,” reads page 99 of the 2015 Boy Scout handbook.

The new rule for water balloons dictates their size and origin — no more puffed up balls of latex for traditional water balloon fights.
“For water balloons, use small, biodegradable balloons, and fill them no larger than a ping pong ball,” page 100 of the handbook adds.

Wait... paint balls are no larger than a ping pong ball.
