        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Someone should let Cali know. I know he was getting pretty nervous.

We have a Canadian in the senate?

                But isn't Obama a Keynesian?

                  Nope. Financing on both.

                  • The Dems and GOP are holding hands under the table...

McConnell-Reid Deal Includes $3 Billion Earmark for Kentucky Project

A proposal to end the government shutdown and avoid default orchestrated by Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic Leader Harry Reid includes a nearly $3 billion earmark for a Kentucky project.

Language in a draft of the McConnell-Reid deal (see page 13, section 123) provided to WFPL News shows a provision that increases funding for the massive Olmsted Dam Lock in Paducah, Ky., from $775 million to nearly $2.9 billion.

Proving once again that Cruz (and his sidekick Lee) are nothing but trolls. One day this is a life-or-death issue ... then when it comes time to put their money where their mouth is, they cave. If this was as important as they claim it was, they would be filibustering the bill ... but of course they won't because they have known all along that this was nothing but a horse and pony show designed to get their Tea Party base to give them a bunch of money. They are no different than any other politician except they have the audacity to nearly push the country off a cliff in order to fill their pockets with campaign donations. I am no fan of Obamacare, but this stunt they pulled was a complete joke. I feel sorry for the people that bought their bullshit and gave them money to help sustain this ludicrous cause. I just hope enough people show up at the caucuses next time Lee is up for reelection to get him out of there. As much as I respect his father, he has been a complete clown in the Senate.

One congress-person had a great idea, I thought. eliminate the debt ceiling as Obama wants. But replace it with the following rule: if congress doesn't pass a budget, then automatic spending reductions of 1% over the previous year are instituted. An additional 1% gets cut every 90 days that no budget is passed. Simple.
I like that idea. The debt ceiling is a complete farce. The only thing it accomplishes is it gives political grandstanders a tool to raise money with. It needs to be eliminated. It doesn't do any good for anyone.

The LDS Church is responsible for the Smoot-Hawly Tarriff Act (and therefore The Great Depression), Proposition 8, and the 2013 Government Shutdown. Disgraceful.

Plus the Civil War. Joseph Smith prophesied it and it came to pass.
