  • So the peepee thing was fake news, but it seemed perfectly in character for the PEOTUS. Probably would have generated a bunch of jokes, but people would shrug shoulders and move on. Crazy times.

The next four years are going to be the biggest clown show in history at the white house. Way to go, America.

      2. It would give me some hope the Congress isn't going to be a worthless rubber stamp on every looney idea Trump has.
I guess you don't remember what the dems and press did to Romney. Let's see, he cheated on his taxes. Doesn't understand the average guy because he is so rich. He took over companies and caused people to lose jobs. Was a complete novice when it came to foreign affairs. Hell when he went after Obama one of the media set him straght. Oh and he was completely laughable when it comes to Russia. He was still living back in the cold war.

I will wait till I finish reading on the guy and listen to him before I weigh in regurgitating the dems and media talking points.

Gates and Nunn think he would do a great job. By the way what did Hillary and Kerry do that was so great that made them awesome choices for Sec. of State. Lifelong politicians. Awesome

Career politicians are the worst. Better to have smart people that haven't lived off of the government teet their whole life. Like Rick Perry.

Guts = agree with your sentiments and do what you find is agreeable.

When was the last time a Democratic Senator showed guts? How voted many against Obamacare? Partisanship is alive and well.

He craps on Israel every chance he gets.

Edit: This is why I think Maximus approves. I'm with you, I think he's been pretty awful. Ineffective at best.

he has navigated through multiple international agreements. whether they are good or not is open to interpretation.

how do you measure S of States?

and not rubber stamping israel is a good thing

I agree with everything in this post. I interpret most of the agreements as pretty crappy.

On your last statement in this post, I also agree that not rubber stamping Israel is important. However, he has been much more hostile to Israel's interests than simply avoiding rubber stamping their actions. Whether that is a good thing is, as you said, open to interpretation.

                          • I get the Israel rap against Kerry, which I'm not sure if I can judge one way or the other. But which standard are we judging Kerry by? Who has been a good recent SOS?

Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

If judging by non partisan glasses, I would say cooperation and getting things done internationally. I dont really know tbh. i havent thought about kerrys record a great deal. he has been free of scandals IIRC unlike Clinton, and has had some very important deals he negotiated.

This isn't necessarily a good judge of an effective diplomat. I'm going to be super annoying and go to the cliche extreme: Neville Chamberlain cooperated internationally and got things done but is universally derided. Yes you want to get along and get things done internationally, but not with everyone.
