    Me too!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

    • It's probably the first time I'd take all of the VP candidates ahead of any of the candidates for Prez. But then, at the moment, I'd even take Jim Stockdale ahead of the current presidential nominees.

      • I would take either vp candidate over the current two. I would take eight more years of Obama. I would take byu71 over Trump.

        • Here's an interview with Tim Kaine in Spanish from 2010. He does pretty well, though he makes lots of mistakes, he completely understands the questions being asked and is wholly intelligible in his responses about abstract ideas. If his pronunciation were a bit stronger, and if he didn't make as many unforced vocabulary errors, I'd have no qualms at all at saying he's an Advanced High speaker. However, some of his stuff dips down into Advanced Mid. So, if this were a graduating senior, before I assigned them a level, I'd have them conduct another OPI with one of my colleagues to see what they think.

          • Clinton needs Kaine to counterbalance this unforced error.

I agree completely with that. I'm not a huge fan of Pence's social policies or economic policies but I'd feel much better with him on security and world affairs. I'd take just about any poster on here over Trump. A bit of a tossup with topper or venkman or Trump, tbh.

No, that seems boring. I trust your knowledge of the language. It's nice to have a VP candidate who can do that.

I think she picked him to win Virginia for her. The Spanish was just lagniappe.

                  • oxcoug provided a link to this apology from a reporter who once wrote critically of Romney's campaign, but in hindsight didn't realize how good he was.

The author also gushed about Anne Romney, noting contrasts with Melania. I liked that Trump's third wife claimed that "Donald is intensely loyal."

                      Yes it was very convincing.

I only made it about 2 mins before I got super aburrido and turned it off. Did he get stronger as it went on? I wasn't really impressed with his vocab or his pronunciation. He speaks a lot like those missionaries who struggled with the language for the entire 24 months.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I agree with DH that his pronunciation is not impressive but both of you are more qualified than I. How he can be classifi d as "fluent" is beyond me. I preferred listening to the interrogator l. I liked his fluency and accent.
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Look up what fluent means. The word is grossly misunderstood. Also, DH is a huge fucking snob about language.
