I'll never vote for Trump, and doubt very much I'll vote for Hillary either (esp. since she'll take my state anyway), but I can sort of understand that someone would vote for Trump because he isn't Hillary and might appoint SC justices more acceptable than will Hillary. Is there any other reason (weak though that one is) to vote for Drumpf?
But... I invite any Trump supporter to describe how they would have felt if they had been told in 2014 that Trump would be the Republican nominee and very possibly the next POTUS. For the vast majority of respondents, I would think the response would be paroxysms of laughter, followed by utter disbelief, if not disdain. I'd then ask what has Trump done or said in the past year that would change that reaction? Obviously, I just don't get it.

Phew. You have restored my faith in humanity. The only argument for Trump is the fact he'll nominate better judicial appointments. Other than that, ugh.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostI'll never vote for Trump, and doubt very much I'll vote for Hillary either (esp. since she'll take my state anyway), but I can sort of understand that someone would vote for Trump because he isn't Hillary and might appoint SC justices more acceptable than will Hillary. Originally posted by YOhio View PostYES!!!!! Suck it, JL.Well, let's not gush. Despite the many great concerns about Hillary, I expect she'll be our next president and it won't be the end of the world as you and Lifi will prophesy. I expect her to be much like her husband, although without the charm and without any sexual depredations on White House interns. And honestly, I'd take the previous Clinton years over the last sixteen in terms of governance. My greatest worry is that if she continues with that phenomenally grating campaign voice/yell, I'll have to purchase my first gun and shoot out every TV set in the house during her inaugural address.Originally posted by Topper View PostPhew. P.S. I confess the foregoing is a bit of a troll, reluctant though I am to evoke yet another nuanced observation from Topper that Hillary is without any redeeming quality whatsoever (Mike Godwin and I both believe that Hitler at least was good to certain animals and small children, and was responsible for the greatest freeway system in the world at the time).

It's not a fact. His choices could also very possibly even be worse. If there is anything we've learned from this campaign it's that Trump will say or do a lot of stupid things. Why should we expect any individual decision he makes as president, including nominating someone to the Supreme Court wouldn't be stupid?Originally posted by Topper View PostPhew.
