After reading the book on the Benghazi incident, I am convinced it is one of the most politically overblown/hijacked events in years.
So you think an incident that took place on 9/2012, just a few month before the Presidential election which was blamed by the sitting President's Admin on some video was politically overblown?

You may be right but I do not believe it does not negate the underlining motives to deflect and lie about what took place..

I agree that it's overblown. But it is overblown in part because of the response.

The reality is that no matter WHAT they did or said, someone was going to politicize the event and point fingers, saying that someone screwed up and American lives were lost.

But this thing would be dead and gone already if she had just called it what it was in the beginning instead of saying it was a spontaneous demonstration to a youtube video that got violent.

Americans hate terrorists. If you come out at the beginning and say that we were attacked by terrorists and we're going to get those SOB's. And if you say that you'll be re-evaluating security for all of our state department staff overseas, etc., it goes away.

Sure - there would still be questions about what the guy was doing away from the embassy. And there will always be conspiracy theories as to what was going on. But the reason this thing has legs is because Hillary gave the conspiracy theorists evidence that this really was part of some big cover up.

This is the issue - for me at least. It isn't that these dumb little things happen or that Hillary has made mistakes. It's that she's willing to do nearly anything to hide her mistakes. So - what else is she hiding? Are they all just little political things and she's over-reacting due to Bill's blue dress experience? Or are there other things she's hiding too?

Hillary makes it extremely hard to trust her.

It would have helped if Obama's Administration did lead off by making this a political event in trying to pin this on that stupid video. They are the one's who make the calculated call that it would hurt his re-election efforts if it was tied to terrorism and tried to pin it on a worthless video. You reap what you sow.

I am not at all convinced that it was a calculated lie. And I don't get why the distinction is as critical as people are making it out to be.

Calculated lie or pure idiocy. One or the other.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

                • You learn new things everyday. CNN and MSNBC are constantly reporting what Politico has to say. They have a circulation of only 40,000. Seems like a very small following to get such attention for their opinions.

Maybe that is the same for all of them including the National Review.

When you look at the lies and deceptions democrats will put up with, overlook and explain away, it seems odd when they accuse Trump supporters of being ignorant or uninfored.

                    • There were five polls that came out yesterday on the Florida Republican primary. One poll for North Carolina and no polls for Illinois or Missouri. Kasich will win Ohio tonight and Cruz will get a decent number of delegates in NC, IL and MO. But, of course, the cable news focus will be on Trump winning Florida and how he's unstoppable. If what I listed above actually happens, Trump is going to still have a tough time getting the nomination.

The NY Times says that Trump has received $1.9 billion of free media from the networks.

As an added bonus to this article, it's amusing to see how Bush spent $82 million on broadcast ads to get four delegates. Over $20 million a delegate. Somebody calculated how much Bush spent in Iowa vs. the number of votes he received and it worked out to something like $5,000 a vote. Lol.

And of course, he still didn't get the message and waited until after South Carolina.

I think I disagree. I think CNN and the others would love to see a brokered convention. Either way, they will be happy with Trump or the brokered convention as they think either will be a disaster for the republicans in the general election. The only way Hillary could win would be for a total republican party blow up.

I dislike people who say I told you so, but I told you so. This thing with Trump lying, having no real policies, ripping on women, ripping on minorities, inflamatory speech at rallies is nothing new. It happened from the beginning. However he would be invited on the cable and network shows for a lovefest. They reported the things he did, but immediately moved onto telling about his popularity despite the things he said. Fox was the most critical in the beginning, but even they were pandering.

Now he has the lead they are hammering him. Hammering him with things they could have done in the beginning. Instead of praising his large rallies they focus on the minor altercations and call them violence or riots. You really can not believe the change in people like Scarborouh, Don Lemon or Anerson Cooper. Well actually I can.

These people are now criticizing the candidates for not exposing Trump earlier. Hey dipshits, they are politicians. I thought it was the job of the media to inform the public??

C'mon JL. People did die eventually and it's still all over the news and HClinton is now calling a vocally grieving mother a liar. I guess she could just be tired and answered inconsiderately. That's bad enough. Or maybe she is just that calculating and has learned from her husband to never admit anything unless she is under oath.
                            Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

She and Trump have learned honesty is not a qualification most Americans look for when choosing a President.

                              • No kidding. Trump is demonstrably the lyingest liar ever. Zero repercussions from his little press conference where he pitched all his companies that don't exist(Trump steaks) or he didn't own any stake in at all (Trump Wine). His supporters don't care one way or the other- they have their minds made up.
