So apparently the Russian did go after state elections systems. Doesn't sound like vote counts were altered. But that is pretty damn concerning.

As I understand it, it is almost impossible, because the patient must want to improve and most narcissists don't desire to change. By the time it is recognized the patient is so ingrained it becomes impossible. My sister as a therapist believes otherwise, because she treats it not as a disorder but as a dysfunction related to relationships, and believes people can improve the functionality of relationships if the situation is presented properly.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostIt's always been a disorder - a notoriously hard to treat one at that."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Russian hacking in to state voting systems is a lot more concerning than previously thought:
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...-u-s-elections
"Such operations need not change votes to be effective. In fact, the Obama administration believed that the Russians were possibly preparing to delete voter registration information or slow vote tallying in order to undermine confidence in the election. That effort went far beyond the carefully timed release of private communications by individuals and parties.
One former senior U.S. official expressed concern that the Russians now have three years to build on their knowledge of U.S. voting systems before the next presidential election, and there is every reason to believe they will use what they have learned in future attacks."

That's very concerning but it's great that they weren't able to do anything nefarious in the system or with the data. The Russians clearly didn't hack the actual voting systems and looks like the US had procedures in place to safeguard the voting registration data as well.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostRussian hacking in to state voting systems is a lot more concerning than previously thought:

I find the " three years to build on their knowledge of U.S. voting systems " comment in the article to be kind of funny. The US also has three years to change their systems to stay ahead. I can only guess this is a game of cat and mouse that has been going on for sometime now."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. Oh good hell... the Ruskies have hacked the election again:
http://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/20/georg...-election.htmlGOP's Karen Handel wins most expensive House race ever: NBC News projection
Republican Karen Handel has won Georgia's record-breaking special congressional election, according to an NBC News projection.
Seen as an early proxy for whether Democrats can flip certain Republican-leaning districts in the President Donald Trump era, Tuesday's election drew national attention and record cash from around the country. Democrats have aimed to leverage Trump's dismal approval rating and opposition to the Republican health-care bill into winning Republican seats and potentially taking control of the House in 2018.
The race for Georgia's 6th District for the seat vacated by Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price pit Handel, 55, the former Georgia secretary of state, against Democrat Jon Ossoff, a 30-year old former congressional aide. Fueled by a rush of donors from around the U.S., Ossoff pushed for an upset in the suburban Atlanta district that Price repeatedly won easily, but ultimately came up short.
The two campaigns and outside groups supporting and opposing the candidates shelled out at least $36 million as of May 31, including more than $22 million from Ossoff's campaign. The election easily set a record for spending in a House race, according to NBC News.
