Whatever party wins the most seats sets the agenda, and the leader of the party becomes prime minister. Easy peasy.

Flip Michigan and leave the rest of the map, and Trump is still president-elect. But to people who worked in that state and others, how Clinton won the popular vote by 2.8 million votes and lost by 100,000 in states that could have made her president has everything to do with what happened in Michigan. Trump won the state despite getting 30,000 fewer votes than George W. Bush did when he lost it in 2004.
Yeah, the Clinton Campaign really screwed up in the rust belt... They screwed so bad I keep expecting to hear a news report that Robby Mook or John Podesta or one of the other key campaign staff members committed suicide by shooting themselves in the back of the head and then dragged their dead body to the trash bin.

As long as the king or queen is from Texas, I'm for it.

I'll give you that, as long as the prime minister isn't Texan!

                • in 2012 without the California 55 electorates, Romney would have won and we never would have had Trump.

                  Shame on you California.

When it comes to income inequality, It wouldn't surprise me if California is the worst of the 50 states. So much for decades of democrat control.

I think Hawaii is actually the worst. It's not California's fault we have Trump. The blame ultimately lies with people who voted for Trump.

                      States ranked here:

                      http://www.epi.org/publication/incom...ity-in-the-us/

See table 1. You have it backwards. Hawaii = 2nd best (49/50). Kind of surprising.

New York the worst. California #7, Texas #8. Wyoming #3, probably due to Jackson area. Utah right in the middle.

Doesn't seem to be any red/blue correlation.

IMO the biggest problem for the poor isn't "income inequality" but segregation of schools, neighborhoods, churches, etc by income. I think red states like Utah and Wyoming are awesome in that regard.

When you're not just poor and uneducated but you don't know anybody who is NOT poor and uneducated then you are in trouble. That's what I learned from Hillbilly Elegy.

Utah ranks at or near the top in upward mobility.
