    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Haha, the first headline was pretty much the sentiment of posters around here about MPFunk's wife. Even the Jefe considered it, and said "naw, she should be able to take it." I'm sure everyone will start parsing and excusing what they said now, but the fact is that post ran off both Funk and his wife. So post all the craft beer and hockey bait you want, I checked the members list and cannot find Funk's name on it. Heaven help anyone on here run for office someday.

I am going to temporarily bring this bad boy out of retirement just for this post:

If my leanings were to the progressive side, I can see how I could convince myself everyone associated with Breitbart is a white supremacist, biggoted and racist.

If I were CNN I would pound this and promote this accusation as much as I could mixed in with breaking coverage of protestors in the streets. Trumps transistion team in chaos, but if I were them I would downplay them claiming Trumps son in law is causing it. He is Jewish and then someone might call CNN anti semite.

            • I just received an email from "CNN Breaking News", which has always had a fairly liberal definition of what the threshold is for news that I would like to see in my inbox.

CNN asked voters how they felt about Donald Trump’s victory. More than 1,500 left us voicemails. Listen.

I am unsure who this is possibly attractive to. I don't really know how much you would have to pay me to voluntarily listen to voicemails from people who care about the results of this election enough to call into CNN and leave a message about it for everyone to hear. I am quite certain that these are not people I want to hear from.

If any poster on this board left one of these messages, I apologize in advance.

CNN I know have some really smart people on board. They have to know the audience they cater to. Breaking news, voice mails express worry, fear, anger, disgust, etc. for Trump and Bannon. On may of the calls one could hear crying.

you really think it is just liberal alarmism to call Bannon a bigot?

I got the same notification but haven't taken the time to listen to the 1,500 voicemails...let alone the other voicemails on my actual phone.

On election night, CNN had up the words "Breaking News: Florida too close to call" That's not exactly breaking news, neither is it really news. It's just something. I'm thinking we may need some regulation around cable news networks and their definition and use of certain terms.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. The channels would just sidestep your proposed breaking news regulation by calling it something else. Fox already does it with their blasted "Fox News Alerts"

While I'd love to take credit for running funk off the site (he's posted since then, btw, and logs in all the time as well), the fact is that his mrs. funk has been gone for a looooooong time.

I don't know Mr. Bannon from Frank Ryan, and only recently learned he was associated with Breitbart, a site sometimes linked on Drudge. Wanting a little, but not too much information on him, I asked Dr. Google, and discovered a Breitbart (no suprise) link discussing an interview with Harvard professor, Alan Dershowitz, where decries the complaint that Bannon is anti-Semitic.

                                http://www.breitbart.com/jerusalem/2...gree-policies/

Most of the other articles vary based on the political bent. Those claiming Breitbart supports nationalist whites only argue Bannon is by association anti-Semitic. They don't cite, at least in my cursory perusal any evidence of him being personally anti-Semitic, but they are convinced in their heart of hearts that he is. The pro-Bannon, GOP oriented authors cite friendships and relationships which tend to undermine that allegation.

Have you done an extensive investigation to know which side is correct?
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.
