I know. Those guys are idiots.

I thought trump would get steamrolled in the primary and I was wrong. I'm calling that he'll get steamrolled in the general. Let's hope I'm right.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

      • So apparently Trump is following Captain's Kirks philosophy of dealing with aliens: kiss/sleep with the Beautiful ones -- fight and get rid of the others.

Did you come up with that? That's awesome, if so.

*Also, it is almost certain that his wife committed Visa fraud, which is exponentially more serious, legally speaking, than entering through the desert and working illegally. But we already know he's a scam artist and hypocrite of the highest order, so no surprise there.

I admit to hearing the line about Captain Kirk on a Canadian noon hour news show when an entertainment correspondent was comparing The Next Generation to the original. This was back in the late 80/early 90s.

Yes I remember the most useless information.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Even if we have a terrorist attack by a Syrian refugee on American soil a week before the election, he still won't win. It's over and has been over since the night Trump won Indiana in the GOP primary.

The election is now boring except for the entertainment of seeing just hiw badly Trump can screw up and also watching his supporters try and explain their continued support.

Out of curiosity, what did you think Trump's chances of winning the republican nomination were a year ago?

Edit: just read your post above.

I admit I never thought Trump would even sniff the nomination. I kept thinking that at any moment people would wake up and would stop playing along with the joke. I clearly am not good at prognostication on electoral issues.
                    PLesa excuse the tpyos.

C'mon, just look at who he was running against in the Repub primary. His competition was so . . . .

Oh man, oh man, oh man . . . .

                      • Exactly. It's obvious that he has tapped into some powerful emotions, and I don't think we have a clear picture yet of how pervasive that mood is.

The safe money is on Hillary winning. But given everything that has happened this last year, I wouldn't bet the house.
