Trump isn't going to go away. According to this new poll he has opened up lead in PA and FL and is tied with HRC in Ohio. Everyday I wake up I expect that America will have come to its senses and Trump will tank, but the opposite continues to occur. At this point it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up like Mondale, nor would it surprise me if he actually won.

But that is exactly my point. Many have presumed just like you did above that there was easily explainable reason for Trump and whatever success of his they were trying to discount. However, every single time that has been wrong. I still don't think he will win, but it won't surprise me if he does.
