No, we ignore Clinton's faults (despite them being much larger than Trump's) because Trump is Hitler! He is the worst person to have ever lived! And unlike every president before him, he's actually going to do the stuff he says while campaigning.

But I'll play along. If I had two murderous dictators for choices, I suppose I'd pick the one who at least governs with a pretense for rule of law, and tries to maintain a respectable reputation for other countries.

However, let's get serious with our analogies. I do not think it's a stretch to say that given how Trump has campaigned this last year, he would have a lot of Putin-like tendencies if given the chance. Hillary? I'd say she'd govern more like Bill Clinton. I'll take a presidency that has ethical failings but governs respectfully over a reactionary populist one, thank you very much.

You give the Clinton's way too much credit. During her entire tenure as SoS other intel agencies from other countries read her private unsecured email while our own government was in the dark. She "reset" the relationship with Russia and in short order they expanded the map, returning after a two decade hiatus to become our primary geopolitical foe. It's difficult to identify a nation with whom we had a better relationship in 2012 than in 2008. China? No. India? No. Russia? No. Her family foundation reeks of 'pay to play' schemes during her tenure as SoS. Her team gives Nixon a run for his money in paranoia by deleting public records and stealing classified docs from the National Archives. She refuses to engage the press and I predict she won't do more than one debate with Trump, if any at all.

I'd accept that you like Hillary because of her crazy hawtt!! sex appeal but that's about it.

Writing in Mitt sounds like a super cool and satisfying thing to do, but it is a throw-away vote. I would rather do what little I can to help prevent a Trump presidency.

A bajillion times? Nah. I'll feel depressed pulling the lever for Hillary, and it may last for a time. But part of that depression is also caused by the absolute joke of a party that could do nothing to stop a despicable person from becoming an even more despicable presidential candidate. My hope will be that by supporting Hillary temporarily, the GOP will transform itself into a legitimate party. It has a very long way to go. And considering the sorry state of the democratic party, that really is saying something.
