Did anyone see the story yesterday that reported that Trump was able to take a tax deduction only allowed to people with under $500k income? Just how big a fraud is Donald Trump, is he not even pulling in $500k in real income?

Seriously? He said that? He should throw it on the ground and step on it to add some flavor while he's at it.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostTrump eats his steaks well done.
Nobody should ever trust anything he says about steaks.
I am coming around to this point of view. I was sitting on the couch laughing last night at the sheer absurdity of a choice for president between a con man racist demagogue and a felon reformed demagogue. In the genre of train wrecks, this election will be fun to watch if Trump vs. Clinton holds. We are all pretty sure that Trump will get steamrolled, but what if he flips a couple blue states with his weird coalition as he has promised? What if an independent gets in?Originally posted by old_gregg View Posti love this election

I think Kasich will win Ohio. I don't think Rubio will win Florida. His campaign has the stench about it right now.
Cruz, however, could pull off a win in Florida. Florida is closed, it's not a total hillbilly state like the other SEC states, and Cruz has actually been winning states. Trump has been getting killed on people that are deciding in the last week.
Lost in the mix is Illinois and Missouri -- are people assuming both are going to Trump because they're open? Unfortunately, both are also winner take all.
North Carolina is open and proportional. Trump beat Cruz by 10-11 points in Mississippi last night. On Tuesday last week, Trump beat Cruz by 22 points in Alabama. I don't think you can group North Carolina in with those states, it's more similar to Virginia. Rubio did well in Virginia, but his campaign has bottomed out in the last week. Given the trends, I think Cruz will do well in NC and could possibly win.
Cruz has easily run the best campaign of the actual GOP politicians (really, that's not saying much). He's done well allocating his resources effectively, so it will be interesting to see where he focuses his campaigning. I bet he ignores Ohio altogether. Focuses on Florida and North Carolina. But, I've heard some people say that Cruz is supposed to do well in Missouri? Do they say that because of how well Cruz did in Kansas and Oklahoma?Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

He ordered a well done ribeye. At the same time, someone else in his family ordered a well done salmon.

I think we're looking at a one term president here. Trump's negatives are off the charts and every single person he's ripped off, and they're legion, will be given the spotlight once it's determined that Trump actually has the nomination. The media is having fun with Trump because he drives ratings, but they'll get down to business once the conventions are done. But by historical standards, Hillary Clinton is also loathed. And she's also incompetent. I can't wrap my head around her not passing the damn bar the first time she took it. But the again LA elected a mayor who failed the bar 10 times or something. The GOP has a couple senators that have attractive resumes and actual substance (unlike Rubio) -- but they were too new in the Senate to run during this go around.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View PostSeriously? Even on the off chance that Cruz gets the nomination and beats Hillary, we're probably looking at the same thing. Hillary has a bad record as a SoS and there's an FBI investigation not only in to her information breaches (due to her incompetency and laziness), but also into the Clinton Foundation (corruption). Cruz could actually pull it off.Part of it is based on academic grounds. The Missouri GOP primary is pretty wacky for a purple state. Well done steaks and representing Famous Famiglia as authentic New York pizza...while he stacks his slices! I grew up in Omaha and went to school in Utah but I'm more of a New Yorker than Trump.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostYes indeed:

Obviously Fox News only finds people that are awful to represent the Democratic side, but yuck. "The next debate needs a parental advisory warning", yes this is what we should be worried about, language. Everything is going so well in the country that we should be complaining about things that the smallest minority might get offended by.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View Post

I thought DWS was the DNC chair? Doesn't that make her the "poster child" of the Dem party?

I'm not convinced of that at all. If Trump secures the nomination he will suddenly become a very charming individual and start praising all of his former opponents. No more Little Marco, no more Lyin Ted, no more whatever he calls Kasich. Then he'll start in on HClinton the same way he did with his repub rivals. It will be red meat for all those who don't care for her (which is a majority of the voters in America). He'll also appeal to all the Bernie voters because their messages have been very similar ("You're getting screwed by the man, free trade has destroyed your lives, the establishment is a bunch of cronies, change from the outside is needed."). HClinton's ties to the "big banks" and her cashing on her celebrity will make great fodder for Trump to make this case. Throw in some crude comments about Bill and the intern and you've got Trump's campaign strategy. I fear it will work.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View Postthis election will be fun to watch if Trump vs. Clinton holds. We need HClinton to get indicted and for Joe to ride in and save the day.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Now you've got me thinking. Seeing HRC suffer the indignity of having her political career finally ended by someone as awful as Donald Trump would almost be worth the price of having Trump as president...almost.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostI'm not convinced of that at all.
